Candidates can find a general outline to become an MD Paediatrics graduate:

1. Complete MBBS: Finish a 5.5-year MBBS degree from a recognised medical college.

2. Complete Internship: Finish a one-year mandatory internship.

3. Qualify Entrance Exam: Appear for and qualify for an entrance exam like NEET PG or INI-CET.

4. Enroll in MD Paediatrics: Secure admission to a 3-year MD Paediatrics programme in a recognised institution.

5. Complete the MD Course: Undergo three years of theoretical studies, clinical training, and practical exposure to pediatric care.

6. Graduate: Completed the MD course and became a qualified paediatrician.

An MD Pediatrician is primarily trained in diagnosing, treating, and managing health conditions in children, but their training does not focus on performing surgeries. Pediatricians are experts in child healthcare, dealing with medical issues such as infections, growth disorders, and chronic conditions. 

However, paediatricians do not have the surgical skills required for performing surgeries. If a paediatrician needs to perform a surgical procedure, they would typically refer the patient to a pediatric surgeon, who is specifically trained in surgery for children. 

The salary of an MD Pediatrics graduate in India varies based on factors like experience, location, type of institution, and job role. 

Here's a breakdown by experience level:

• Fresh MD Pediatricians (0-2 years): INR 50,000 - 80,000 

• Mid-Level Pediatricians (3-5 years): INR 80,000 - 1.5 Lakh

• Experienced Pediatricians (5+ years): INR 1.5 - 2.5 Lakh

• Top-Level Pediatricians (Specialists/Subspecialists): INR 2.5 Lacs - 4 Lakh

The MD Pediatrics syllabus balances both theory and practice but leans heavily toward practical applications. Students spend significant time in clinical rotations, managing pediatric patients, handling emergencies, and attending ward rounds.

While theoretical understanding of pediatric diseases and treatments is important, the course emphasizes hands-on experience, case discussions, and skill-based training to prepare students for real-world pediatric care.
