Deciding whether DDU GKP offers "better" placements than Delhi School of Journalism, DU requires considering several factors:Program and Industry Focus:DDU GKP: Offers various media-related programs like B.A. and M.A. in Journalism, Mass Communication, and Electronic Media. Its focus leans more towards theoretical aspects and smaller class sizes.DSJ, DU: Offers only M.J. (Master of Journalism), with a strong emphasis on practical skills and industry exposure. Its location in Delhi provides access to numerous media houses and potential employers.Placement Data:DDU GKP: Claims a good placement record, but publicly available data is limited.DSJ, DU: Publishes its placement reports, showing a 55-75% placement rate in renowned media organizations. The average salary package also tends to be higher compared to DDU GKP.Reputation and Alumni Network:DDU GKP: Established institution with a decent reputation, but its alumni network might not be as extensive as DSJ, DU.DSJ, DU: Highly reputed institute with a strong alumni network across various media sectors, potentially providing better job opportunities through connections.Cost:DDU GKP: More affordable option compared to DSJ, DU.Factors beyond placement:Curriculum and Pedagogy: Consider which programme curriculum and teaching style better align with your learning preferences and career goals.Location: Factor in personal preferences for living in Delhi versus Gorkhpur. Therefore, the answer depends on your priorities:For pure placement statistics and industry connections, DSJ, DU, might seem better. If affordability and smaller class sizes are crucial, DDU GKP could be a suitable choice.Ultimately, it's crucial to:Compare specific programme placement data for both universities.Research curriculum, faculty, and campus life at each institution.Consider your individual goals and preferences.

As last update in January 2022, admission policies can vary from year to year and may be subject to change. Jesus and Mary College (JMC), like many other colleges in India, typically requires students to undergo an entrance examination or meet certain eligibility criteria for admission into its undergraduate programs. These entrance exams could be conducted at the national level, like the Common Entrance Test (CET) or university-level exams conducted by the University of Delhi. However, colleges may have provisions for direct admission under certain circumstances such as reserved seats for specific categories, sports quota, or merit-based admissions. It's best to check the latest admission guidelines provided by Jesus and Mary College or the University of Delhi to confirm the current admission process and eligibility criteria. You can visit Shiksha's website for more information.
