Merit list is drawn on the basis of scores obtained in best of four subjects
85% of seats are reserved for Delhi students
15% for Outside Delhi students

The candidate with 10+2 and PCM background needs to appear for the joint entrance examination (JEE) main. after the JEE main, candidates need to apply through JOSAA counselling. Candidates need to fill college choices and select DTU as the first choice. Candidates will be allotted seats for DTU admissions on the basis of JEE main score during the counselling process. upon being called by the university on selection on the basis of JEE main score and participation on the counselling process, the candidate must submit necessary required documents along with the fee as prescribed by the administrative office of Delhi Technological University.

You can get admission in the Mechanical Engineering branch of B.Tech at DTU with your rank according to the previous year's admission closing ranks data. According to the information you have provided, it is slightly difficult to get into Delhi Technological University if you are an outside Delhi applicant. DTU announces separate JEE Mains cut-offs for Delhi and out-of-state applicants. In 2021, the closing rank for outside Delhi applicants to get a B.Tech. In Electrical Engineering was 13680, and it was 19606 for mechanical. On the other hand, for home state students, it was over 30,000 for the mechanical branch. So you can get a B.Tech in the mechanical branch, but getting the electrical branch can still be difficult. Else You can wait for DTU's official cutoff.

If you're a general category Delhite, then there's no possibility that you'll get the admission in DTU in any branch. But considering that you have mentioned quota, I want to know which quota to explain better
If you fall under OBC category then yes you have the chance of getting admission with branches lower or equivalent to electrical engineering
If you're SC or ST, then accordingly you have the chances to get admission with better branches.

If you have cleared 12th PCB with 88.8% in 2021 and also passed JEE Mains and NEET 2022, then you should choose NSIT as from the following criteria
1. DTU &get; NSIT &get; IIITD
2. DTU campus is most beautiful and well maintained. Every year around 4-5 crore rupees spent on developing and maintaining campus of DTU.
3. NSIT campus is concentrated in a small area and rest is jungle. Few months ago, a monitor lizard has caught from one of the girls hostel.
4. IIITD has a very small campus, still under construction.
