It is a good college to pursue a master's in chemistry.
Placements: About 60% of students get placed in various companies every year. The highest salary offered in 2018 was Rs. 20,000 per month. The average salary offered by the majority of companies is Rs. 13,000 per month. Top recruiting companies are Biopharma, Cipla, Emami, and several local laboratories. All students are eligible for internships. Top roles offered are manager, lab technician, lab assistant, quality analyser, etc.
Infrastructure: Various facilities are available in our department. The library is vast with many relevant books. Laboratories are well-equipped. Classrooms are vast with all facilities such as projectors, blackboards, stages, mics, etc. The hostel is average with better bedrooms, clean bathrooms, and quality food. Medical facilities are not available in our college except for first aid. Only a limited number of sports and games like cricket, badminton, etc., are available and encouraged in our college.
Faculty: All teachers are well-qualified in their disciplines. They are knowledgeable. Most of them are well-experienced in their teaching fields. The curriculum is relevant in this era. They are apt to make students industry-ready. Exams are conducted each semester. The pass percentage is 45%.
Other: I opted for this college because of its good placement cell. I opted for this course because of my interest in chemistry. I want to be a food quality analyser. Our course is job oriented and interesting. I like practical sessions in the laboratory. Our department should improve the laboratory facilities. Around 3 to 5 programs are conducted each week. The campus, canteen, and library are a little bit crowded. The campus surroundings are very good and filled with trees. Various scholarship schemes under the government and various organisations are provided to students.
