Overall, GMU's fee structure, infrastructure, hostels and campus are very good.

Placements: I am pursuing B.Com, and in our batch, there are about 400 students. Nearly 10 percent of students have been placed by the university. The highest package was something around 3-5 LPA, and the lowest was 1-1.5 LPA. The top companies that are associated with GMU are Infotech, ICICI, Wipro, HDFC, Infosys, etc. About 10-12 percent of students have been placed in companies like HDFC and ICICI from our batch.

Infrastructure: The GMU in itself has a very good infrastructure, which gives positive vibes. As you enter the GATE of GMU, you'll SEE a blend of infrastructure and nature which holds the feeling of satisfaction. Talking about other facilities, there are classes with a smart board facility. This gives students a great learning experience. Moreover, there are ACs and Wi-Fi available in class. The library of GMU is also very big. You can grab any book and start studying. The library is open from 9 am to 5 pm. Talking about hostels, there are 5 hostels in GMU, each one with good water and food facilities.

Faculty: In GMU, the professors or lecturers are very highly qualified and are very helpful regarding studies and other concerns. The course provided by GMU is relevant, and it fosters students' minds and makes them ready for the industry. The semester exams are not that hard, but it depends on you whether you have prepared well for the exam or not. The semester exams conducted by GMU are not the kind of moderate you can say. Neither too hard nor too easy. Somewhere in between. The passing CGPA stands at 4.

Other: I chose this course because I wanted to explore the world of business, and I would say there's a little bit of influence from family business. The things I wish would be better about my course are the teaching, because I have experience, and there are some lecturers who don't teach deeply. They just try to teach at a basic level, due to which students' interest gets lost, and they stop coming to college by making it an excuse.

It is a good college in which everyone can do many extracurricular activities also with studies.

Placements: Placements are very low, and only a few students get a job and one student gets a job as a teacher after a B.Ed degree. Faculty members are good but no companies are invited by the department. The Zoology department is the best with an average CGPA of 8.8. Students regularly attend the university.

Infrastructure: The hostel is good in which one room contains 4 students. The mess quality is best and the dining hall contains a fully furnished table and chairs. It has a good environment. It has a good hostel facility and environment to study.

Faculty: Faculty members and the environment of study benefit me. They teach me a lot of things. Exams are conducted in a disciplined and organised way. In Zoology, the average CGPA is 8.8 due to teachers.

Other: The university location is in the center of the town, which gives an advantage. All things are easily available near the campus. In the hostel, many sports and cultural activities are conducted regularly. The annual function of the hostel is also celebrated in which the general secretary reads the annual achievements of students in the hostel.

It provides good placements and faculty members. The study is good.

Placements: Approximately 50% of students got placed in the B.Com course. The highest salary is Rs. 12,000 per month. The top recruiting companies for our course are Vedanta, Shyam Metallics, and HDFC Bank. 75% of students got internships from our course in Shyam Metallics and HDFC Bank. The top role offered in the course is a sales representative.

Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure available in our college are very nice. There is Wi-Fi, labs, classrooms, a library, a water cooler, and a canteen. The quality of food in the hostel is quite nice. The medical facility is quite good and always available. The college supports sports and games.

Faculty: Teachers were very helpful and knowledgeable. The teaching quality was good. The course curriculum was relevant. It makes students industry-ready. Semester exams in college were moderate to tough. The passing percentage was 33% out of 100%.

Good placements in 2024, good infrastructure.

Placements: Companies like Mahindra, ICICI BANK, HDFC BANK, and many other such companies recruit from our college, and many students get placement in these firms. The package is confidential, so I can’t share that here. The percentage of students who got internships is good.

Infrastructure: The classrooms and buildings' infrastructure is great and well-developed. The library area is huge too; the library has three floors, and all the floors are well-structured. They have all types of facilities, and the computer lab is great too, with all the latest technology.

Faculty: The teachers are very helpful in our college. All the teachers are well-educated and well-qualified. The course curriculum is relevant, and it’s very helpful for students or aspirants of CA and Banking, as this course helps them to crack the exams. Semester exams are not that difficult.

Not a great experience - Gangadhar Meher University.

Placements: There are very less placement opportunities for B.Com students in this college. The students from other streams enjoy benefits when it comes to placement. Different tech companies including Deloitte, Accenture, Infosys, Dell, etc., offer campus placements here.

Infrastructure: The college has a decent infrastructure, including computer labs, a library, smart classrooms, and conference halls. The college also organizes sports competitions and programs on a yearly and quarterly basis. There is also a canteen inside the college premises, but the food quality there is not up to the mark.

Faculty: The teachers and faculty members are qualified and well-educated, but when it comes to a government college, they behave completely differently. The teaching quality is below average. The teachers here are arrogant and rude at times. The semester exams are pretty easy, and the pass percentage of students is around 78%.

Other: The only reason for me to choose B.Com at Gangadhar Meher University is the distance. The college is hardly 15 minutes away from my place, so it becomes very easy to reach.

Satisfied with the return on investment.

Placements: As you already know B.Com is not a higher salary degree, so you can expect an average salary package of 2 LPA - 3 LPA. Only 30-40% of students get placed. Most of the students choose to study further and many students change their college for post-graduation. Good and well-known companies come for recruitment.

Infrastructure: I am a day scholar, but as far as I have seen, the hostel is pretty average according to the fees. Our classrooms are also very well-equipped with air conditioners and smart boards. In the hostel, you will get 3 times food. Students can go anywhere on the campus till 9 PM. The campus is located in the prime town of the place.

Faculty: Faculty members at the college are highly qualified and very helpful. They help you every time. Our commerce department has a HOD. He is a very helpful and calm nature person. He also helps me in many situations. One thing is that students are also good.

Other: There are always functions and events going on in the college. Many students are not aware of those things.
