    Q:   How can I join Gujarat University?
    A: 

    Admissions at Gujarat University are based on entrance exam or aggregate in Class 12. The selection requirements varies course-wise. Check below the Gujarat University admission process:

    1. Application Process 

    The application process consists of first filling out the online application form from the University's official website and paying the application fee.

    2. Selection Rounds 

    Students have to check what the eligibility criteria is for the course they want. For eg., MBA and PhD course require candidates to appear for an entrance exam, such as CMAT, whereas for UG diploma, BA, and BDes course, students are only needed to pass the merit criteria which is a certain percent of marks in Class 12. 

    3. Counselling & Admission Confirmation

    After completion of the selection rounds, aspirants are required to come for counselling and document verification. For MBA, ACPC Counselling is required. Shortlisted aspirants need to confirm their seat by paying the fee.

    No, candidates cannot get direct admission in Gujrat University. All admissions (both for UG and PG programmes) are strictly centralized and merit-based, requiring you to apply through the official portals.

    No, the Gujrat University does not offer direct admission for many mainstreams programmes. Candidates need to fulfil the eligibility criteria for each course to get admission. For some courses, such as MBA and PhD, candidates may require to qualify for entrance exams. However, admission to courses such as UG Diploma, BA, BPA, and BDes, is based on the aspirant's marks in the last qualifying examination. Hence, for UG courses in which admission is merit-based, candidates aggregate in Class 12 is considered for selection. Graduation is required for getting admission to PG courses.

    Q:   What is the cutoff of Gujarat University?

    The cutoff 2026 are not out yet & will be updated once out. The GUJCET exam is conducted for admission to BTech, BPharma and PG courses. In 2025, for the General category candidates under the All India quota the GUJCET cutoff for admission to the M.Tech in Web Technology programme was 3101554, and for the M.Tech in Networking & Communication course, it was 3101337 in the last round closing ranks. 

    Q:   What is the NEET cutoff at Gujarat University?
    A: 

    Gujarat University cutoff 2026 has not been released yet & will be updated once out. In 2025,  NEET  Round 1 Closing Rank (General-All India) for MBBS was 889. NEET SS Round 1 Closing Rank (General-All India) in 2025 ranged from 48 - 101. MCh in Gynaecological Oncology became the most competetive course for admissions with the lowest cutoff rank of 48. The least competetive course was MCh in Surgical Oncology with cutoff rank of 101.

    Q:   Is there any seat reservation at Gujrat University?

    Candidates who are of Gujarat origin and falling under the following categories and in following proportion, have the below mentioned Gujrat University seat allocation:

    • Scheduled Castes: 7%
    • Scheduled Tribes: 15%
    • Socially and Educationally Backward Classes: 27%
    • Physically Disabled Candidate: 5% (or as applicable sub category)
    • Economically Weaker Section: Supernumerary Seats 10% (33% of 10% for
       Girls) as per 10%.
    • Sports / NSS / NCC / Cultural Quota: 2% Supernumerary Seats
    • Ex. Serviceman and Defense: 1%
    • 90% Seats Reserved for Gujarat Board Students and 10% seats Reserved for Other than Gujarat Board Students

    Gujarat University does not offer direct admissions for its courses. All undergraduate and postgraduate admissions are centralized, merit-based, or determined through specific entrance tests and common state counseling portals like GCAS.
