Gujarat University PhD Courses & Fees 2025: Eligibility & Selection

The university conducts counselling every year after the release of the Gujarat University 2023 merit list. The shortlisted candidates in the Gujarat University merit list 2023 have to attend counselling, in order to get admission to the university.

After counseling the candidates get provisionally admitted for the particular programme. For admission confirmation, the fees have to be submitted online through the official website of Gujarat University within the specified period of time.

The Gujarat University cutoff list is prepared for admission to the UG and PG courses for all categories belonging to the All India and Home State quota. According to the cutoff data in 2023 for Integrated MBA in Advertising and Public Relations programme, the cutoff was 83 for the students belonging to the General All India quota.

Admissions at Gujarat University are based on entrance exam or aggregate in Class 12. The selection requirements varies course-wise. Check below the Gujarat University admission process:

1. Application Process 

The application process consists of first filling out the online application form from the University's official website and paying the application fee.

2. Selection Rounds 

Students have to check what the eligibility criteria is for the course they want. For eg., MBA and PhD course require candidates to appear for an entrance exam, such as CMAT, whereas for UG diploma, BA, and BDes course, students are only needed to pass the merit criteria which is a certain percent of marks in Class 12. 

3. Counselling & Admission Confirmation

After completion of the selection rounds, aspirants are required to come for counselling and document verification. For MBA, ACPC Counselling is required. Shortlisted aspirants need to confirm their seat by paying the fee.

Yes, Gujarat University offers BCA as a UG-level course that lasts three years. The course is offered at the university and through the colleges affiliated with it. A candidate who has passed Class 12 from a recognised board can visit the university's official website to submit an application online. Admission to the programme is based on Class 12 merit. The tuition fee for BCA at Gujarat University ranges between INR 30,000 and INR 93,000. The mentioned fee range has been sourced from the official website of the institutes/sanctioning bodies. It is still subject to change and hence, is indicative.

Gujarat University provides scholarships to the lower backward class or SC/ ST for better education and financial support. More than 30 scholarship schemes initiated by the Government of Gujarat are covered by Gujarat University. For developing high-quality research Government of Gujarat has initated a scheme called SHODH (scheme of developing high-quality research ) to offer  financial assistance to students doing qualitative research. Under this scheme, more than 1000 full-time research scholars awarded INR 15,000 per month and INR 20,000 contingency expense P.A. in the last five years.
