Good academics, supportive faculty, modern facilities, and good career opportunities.
Placements: I am pursuing MCA, which provides knowledge of programming, web development, databases, software engineering, and emerging technologies. Around 70–80% of students get placement opportunities. The packages range from approximately 2–10 LPA, with an average of 4–5 LPA. Top recruiters include TCS, Wipro, etc.
Infrastructure: The college provides well-equipped computer labs, classrooms, and a library for MCA students. The classrooms are suitable for both theory and practical sessions. The computer labs have adequate systems for programming and project work. The library provides useful books and resources.
Faculty: Faculty members are qualified, knowledgeable, and helpful. The teaching quality is very good. The MCA curriculum is relevant to current IT industry requirements. It provides practical knowledge through projects and assignments. The semester exams are moderately difficult. The questions are generally based on the syllabus and classroom learning.
Other: I chose MCA because of my interest in programming, software development, and technology. The course offers a good combination of theory and practical learning with projects and technical activities.

Excellent academics and supportive faculty members.
Placements: 70–80% of students get placed. The highest package is 10-15 LPA. The average package is 4-5 LPA. The lowest package is 2-3 LPA. Top recruiters are TCS, Infosys, and Ahmedabad companies. Top roles offered are software developer, IT consultant, project manager, web developer, and QA tester.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of LJICA is modern and well-maintained. The department has classrooms with projectors. Labs are fully equipped with updated computers, Ethernet, and the required software for programming practicals. The college also has an on-campus canteen where students can eat their lunch.
Faculty: All faculty members of LJICA are highly qualified. They are knowledgeable and very supportive. The teaching quality is exceptional. The course curriculum is also relevant and updated. It also makes the students industry-ready. Semester exams are moderately difficult. If you attend lectures regularly and do the practical, you can easily pass.
Other: I chose MCA to improve my programming skills. This college helps a lot to improve them.

Great infrastructure & events.
Placements: Only 40-50 percent of students got placed. Most of the companies were non IT. The highest package is 12 LPA and the lowest is 2.5 LPA. The average is 3 LPA to 4 LPA. Bank of America is the top company. Around 30-40 percent of students got internships. The project manager is the top role offered. Other top roles offered are developer, designer, tester, and DB engineers.
Infrastructure: Overall infrastructure of the college is good, well-organized, and well-maintained. There are clean classrooms, and the labs are also good. Overall quality of the food in the canteen is not bad, but not as great. Also, it is okay. For the mess and medical facilities, I do not know about that. It is good for sports and games.
Faculty: Overall, all faculty members are good. In my opinion, the course curriculum mainly focuses on the basics and fundamentals of the IT industry. The semester exams are not as tough. The pass percentage is about 40 percent. I think the college should focus more on industry tools and AI tools, like frameworks and AI code editors.

Nice college for studies and side studies also.
Placements: The placements are not as good as those of many big colleges in Ahmedabad, but as it is a semi-government college, the placements are average or slightly above average. The percentage of placements is lower, as they provide only Finance and Marketing as core subjects.
Infrastructure: Just a single building, but it contains all facilities like a canteen, library, classrooms, nice benches, Wi-Fi is also there, and computer labs are also there. Overall, a good infrastructure here. There is no hostel for the college. It doesn't contain an AC class or library.
Faculty: Faculty members of the BBA course are the best they explain every point in detail and are available whenever you need help from them. As it comes under Gujarat University, exams are conducted once by the college and then by the university. The difficulty in exams is not much.
Other: The campus just includes a building and some parking space, not much but events are held every once or twice a month.

Awesome level of discipline and creativity.
Placements: Around 60-70% of the students got recruited in the top recruiting companies like Infosys, Tata, Cognizant, as software developers, database managers, etc. Almost 95% of the students got internships from various software companies like Linkgenic Digitech, Maxgen, Park to Ideas, etc.
Infrastructure: Facilities are top-notch. We have 7 computer labs. Wi-Fi and computers are available in the library. Classrooms are neat and airy. Girls' and boys' hostels are available with good facilities. Sports tournaments and training are given to all.
Faculty: Most teachers already have their PhD degrees and are kind and helpful. The teaching quality is good and understandable. The curriculum is up-to-date and accurate as per NEP. It makes students industry-ready. Semester exams are moderately tough. The passing percentage is 36%.
Other: I chose this course because of the increasing demands of software development, computing skills and AI. Also, I wish to pursue cybersecurity, and this course helps me with the same. Things that could have been better are hands-on experience in real projects from the initial stage itself.

Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) - Batch of 2027

The future is in danger as the curriculum is too old, and you will not land any of your dream jobs.
Placements: Around 600 students enrolled in the B.Com course in 2024. Talking about the placement ratio, it's way too low from 600, only 6-10 students get placements, which is only 1-2 percent. The highest package is 4.25 LPA, the average package is 2.5 LPA, and the lowest package is 1.8 LPA. Companies like Bank of America, Khichdi, and Cygnet visit the college. Marketing, sales, operations, and business analyst are the roles offered.
Infrastructure: Talking about the infrastructure, I will just give 2 out of 5, as there is no Wi-Fi facility, and the library doesn't have new books, just old books are roaming here and there. There is no hostel at HL College and no mess. Talking about sports, it does have a big cricket ground for tournaments.
Faculty: Course curriculum is old and no new stuff is offered by HLCC. The course doesn't prepare students for industry-ready jobs, only sales and customer support executive jobs are available after this course. Semester exams are not that difficult, as the curriculum is just like revising the 12th and 11 th commerce syllabus again and again. The passing percentage is also high, as the exam syllabus is not that hard for the students studying here. As entry for HL College is tough, with merit above 89 percent, only brilliant students enter here.
Other: It is value for money as the fees are so low that it's approximately Rs. 1500 per semester.
