Every course at Guru Kashi University has different eligibility criteria for admission purposes. 

1. For B.tech the candidate must have done his class 12 from a recognised board. The university also accepts LEET which is a state-level lateral entry entrance test.
2. For Mtech the candidate should have a minimum of 50% marks in the Bachelor of the same course. 
3. For an MBA, the candidate must have completed his graduation from a recognized university. 
4. For PhD, the admission is based on the entrance test. 
5. For other UG and PG courses, admission is done according to the merit of students.

• BSc: Eligibility is HSCC (12th) class with 50% marks. Admissions are based on the GKU entrance exam score.
• B.Lib: 10+2 class passed is eligibility. The entrance exam is conducted for admission.
• BCA: Eligibility required is 10+2education. The entrance exam is conducted for admission.
• B.Ed: Eligibility is 10+2 or graduation to get Guru Kashi University Admission.
• B-Tech: 10+2 with at least 75% marks is eligibility. The JEE main score marks are considered for admission.
• BBA: Eligibility is 10+2 with 50% marks. Merit-based admissions
• BA:  10+2 with 50% marks from a recognised board is eligibility. The online entrance exam is conducted for admission.
• BMLT:  Eligibility is the 12th class with 50% marks.

• MSc: Required eligibility is a bachelor’s degree in a relevant stream.
• MBA: Graduation in any relevant stream is basic eligibility.

Placements are good, approximately 90% of students get placed. Top companies come and recruit the students. It is the top recruiting university. The highest package offered here was 7 LPA and Average package is around 2-3 LPA and good packages are offered. Roles such as marketing are offered in the agriculture course.
