The facilities are very good, and the placements in our college are very high.
Placements: 90% of students got placed in MBA agribusiness course. The highest package offered is 15 LPA, and the lowest package is 4.5 LPA. The top companies like Sugna food and other companies hire students here. The role offered in our course is in the HR department.
Infrastructure: The facilities are very good. The infrastructure is very good. The whole campus is Wi-Fi enabled. Proper computer labs, classrooms and library are available. The quality of food in the hostel is very good. The food is available 3 times in mess, and also snacks are provided. If students want to eat food, a canteen is available outside. Sports and games are conducted on campus like basketball, football and cricket.
Faculty: The teachers are very helpful, well qualified and knowledgeable. They solve our problems easily. They know how to teach students. The teachers are very good. The course curriculum is relevant. Many students are made ready for the food industry, feed industry and other business industries. If students do not attend the classes properly, then they face problems with attendance and also subjects. The minimum passing percentage is 35%.
Other: I thought of taking admission in another college in the same course, but I found out that this university offers the MBA agribusiness course at a low fee structure. Then, I got to know in-depth details about this college. The college is ICAR, UGC, NAAC, etc., accredited. I think there is nothing to be improved about our course because it is already good. The parking facilities are not good. The university conducts events on time, like Manifest etc. The campus crowd is very good. Connectivity is not good because the students are busy with their studies and projects.

Nice infrastructure and well-educated faculty members are available here.
Placements: I don't know yet about placements, and I just took admission here. However, I heard that a lot of companies visit here. Suguna Foods and some finance companies also visited here for placements last month. But I think the placement cell here is average. I don't have any idea about any passed-out students.
Infrastructure: Classrooms and labs are average here. I don't feel like it's a private university. There is also a central library that contains a lot of books and is huge in size. Multiple canteens are available on the campus, but the food served is also good. I don't have any idea about the hostel.
Faculty: Faculty members here are really good, and they are very helpful and well educated. They're really nice to us, and their teaching quality is great. The course curriculum is definitely relevant. Faculty members also provide notes for every topic and do revisions many times.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q:   What is the latest cutoff information for MBA at Guru Kashi University?
A:

For the 2023 academic year, the PGDM CMAT cutoff for the general category at Guru Kashi University was 85 percentile.

Guru Kashi University selects students for its MBA programme based on their scores in the CAT, CMAT, or XAT. The minimum passing percentage for the MBA programme is 35%.

Unfortunately, cutoff information for the 2024 MBA intake at Guru Kashi University (GKU) is not yet available, as the admissions process usually commences sometime in the January–April timeframe. The university typically releases cutoff marks after the admissions process is complete, often around July or August.

However, I can offer some alternative information to help you get a sense of potential cutoffs:

Previous Year Cutoff Marks:

  • While not a guarantee for the upcoming year,  you can analyze previous year's cutoff marks for different MBA specializations at GKU for an idea of the general range (available on the university website or platform like Shiksha).

  • Remember,  cutoff marks can fluctuate year-on-year based on factors like the number of applicants,  difficulty level of entrance exams,  and availability of seats.

Expected Trends:

  • Competition: Demand for MBA programs is generally high,  so cutoffs might not decrease significantly year-on-year.

  • Entrance Exams: Scores from reputed national and state-level MBA entrance exams like CAT,  MAT,  CMAT,  GMAT,  ATMA,  and PUMET are likely to play a significant role in determining cutoffs.

  • Specializations: The cutoff marks for popular specializations like marketing or finance might be higher compared to others.

Recommendations:

  • Contact the GKU Admissions Office: Once the admissions process opens,  directly contact the GKU Admissions Office for the latest information on eligibility,  entrance exams,  and expected cutoff marks for your desired MBA program.

  • Stay Updated: Monitor the GKU website or official notifications for announcements regarding the admissions process and the release of cutoff marks.

  • Prepare for Entrance Exams: If you haven't already,  focus on preparing for relevant MBA entrance exams to maximize your chances of securing a good score,  which can boost your chances of admission even if the cutoffs are high.

By utilizing these resources and staying informed, you can get a better picture of the upcoming MBA cutoff marks at GKU and make well-informed decisions regarding your application. Additionally, it may be helpful to reach out to current or former students of the MBA programme at GKU for insights on the typical cutoff marks and admission requirements. This firsthand information can provide valuable guidance in your preparation and decision-making process. Remember to also consider alternative options and backup plans in case you do not meet the cutoff marks for your desired program.

Q:   Is MBA at Guru Kashi University better than RKDF University, Bhopal?
A:

It's difficult to definitively say whether the MBA programme at Guru Kashi University (GKU) is better than the one at RKDF University, Bhopal, as both universities have their own strengths and weaknesses. Determining which one is "better" for you depends on your individual priorities and preferences. Here's a comparison to help you decide: Guru Kashi University's MBA programme offers a strong focus on practical skills and real-world applications, with a curriculum that emphasizes hands-on experience through internships and industry collaborations. On the other hand, RKDF University's programme stands out for its comprehensive theoretical foundation and research-oriented approach, providing students with a deeper understanding of business concepts. Ultimately, the choice between the two universities will depend on whether you prioritize practical experience or theoretical knowledge in your MBA education.

Guru Kashi University (GKU):

Strengths:

  • Location: Located in Bathinda, Punjab, which might be preferable if you prefer studying in North India.

  • Variety of Specializations: Offers a wider range of MBA specializations, including marketing, finance, human resource management, international business, and more.

  • Training and Placement Cell: Has a dedicated cell that provides training and support for placements.

  • Alumni Network: growing alumni network, particularly in the northern region.

Weaknesses:

  • Relatively young university: Established in 2011, it might have a less established reputation compared to RKDF University.

  • Limited data on placements: placement data is not readily available, making it difficult to assess their success rate.

  • Competition: Cutoff marks might be higher due to the wider range of specializations offered.

RKDF University, Bhopal:

Strengths:

  • Established university: Founded in 1998, it has a longer history and a more established reputation.

  • Good placements: Claims to have good placement records with collaborations with reputed companies.

  • Lower fees: Fees might be lower compared to GKU.

  • Location: Located in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, which might be closer to your preferred location.

Weaknesses:

  • Limited specialisation options: Offers fewer MBA specializations compared to GKU.

  • Less information available: Less online information available about the programme and its details compared to GKU.

Additional factors to consider:

  • Entrance exams accepted: Check which entrance exams each university accepts and choose the one where you excel.

  • Faculty: Compare the qualifications and experience of the faculty members in both programs.

  • Scholarships and financial aid: Explore scholarship and financial aid options available at both universities.

  • Your career goals: Align the specialisation offered by each university with your future career aspirations.

Ultimately, the best way to decide which university is better for you is to gather more information, compare both programs based on your priorities, and consider factors like faculty, programme structure, career opportunities, and personal preferences. I recommend contacting the admissions offices of both universities and requesting detailed information about their MBA programs. This will help you make a well-informed decision based on your specific needs and goals.
