Hemvati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal University (HNBGU) provides B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) with entry based mostly on Common University Entrance Test (CUET) scores. Students should have 10+2 with Mathematics and Physics as core subjects, with Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, or Informatics Practices as optional subjects and at least 45% marks (40% for reserved classes).

Hemvati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal University primarily offers admission based on CUET scores. However, after the HNBGU CUET merit list is exhausted, the vacant seats may be filled from the university level counselling merit list based on JEE scores. After each merit list, the seat allotment is done through counselling. After seat allotment, students can pay an admission fee amount to confirm their seats.
