Pitamber Datt Barthwal Himalaya Government Post Graduate College has really good infrastructure.

Placements: In aggregate, more than half of the students get employed by various firms. Speaking specifically about the B.Com. programme, the majority of students are hired by KPMG and Deloitte for audit profile roles. In addition, Accenture visits the campus this year, and the package ranges from a minimum of 3.5 LPA to a maximum of 6 LPA. Our college offers all students in this stream strong placement opportunities.

Infrastructure: Our college has one of the most contemporary infrastructures. Students get access to a Wi-Fi network, a library, a computer room, and laptops for their work. Our college includes a canteen and a snack shop. I really like the samosas and noodles in the canteen. Our college does not have any hostel facility.

Faculty: Teachers are competent and good. It is up to students to benefit from their knowledge. Professors take regular classes and deliver lectures. They give students a chance to ask questions. However, some professors attend meetings just for the sake of teaching.

Other: I highly recommend that my juniors choose the B.Com. course if they are looking for careers in administration, sales, and marketing. I also wish to do more to polish my skills.

Good infrastructure and academics, but placements and campus life need improvement.

Placements: The placement opportunities for my course are decent. Some good companies visit the college for roles such as finance, marketing, sales, human resources, and operations. Some top recruiting companies are UltraTech, Deloitte, HCLTech, Tech Mahindra, Zara, and many more. All students get internship opportunities with the help of the college.

Infrastructure: The college has good infrastructure with well-maintained classrooms, Wi-Fi, library resources, and many other facilities required for academic activities. The campus environment is also clean and good for students. It provides a good sports environment. The hostel rooms are well-maintained and have a good Wi-Fi connection. We also get hot water 24/7, but the quality of the mess food is average. The college also has a functioning medical room with a doctor.

Faculty: Faculty members are good, highly qualified, helpful, and generally approachable. The teaching quality is good. The curriculum covers all the important concepts required for this course. The syllabus is a mix of theoretical and practical knowledge. However, more industry-oriented projects and practical exposure could make it better. The semester exams are generally okay, but evaluation through AI models makes them difficult.

Other: I chose this course because it provides broad knowledge about international business and increases my knowledge while developing my communication, teamwork, and professional skills. The overall college environment is good, but more practical exposure and practical skills could be provided. The teaching methods could also improve. The campus surroundings are very good, with lots of natural trees and fests organised throughout the year.

Beyond classes - My experience at DBS.

Placements: From what I have seen, the placement opportunities at Doon Business School are good. Students get exposure to companies from different fields. Especially finance, marketing, HR, sales, and business development. The college also focuses on preparing students for interviews and aptitude tests for jobs. Industrial visits and internships are another plus point as they give you an idea of what the corporate world feels like.

Infrastructure: I like the overall campus and the infrastructure at Doon Business School. The classrooms are very comfortable and there are facilities like Wi-Fi, library space and areas for extracurricular activities. There are also sports facilities, so the college life is not only about academics. The hostel facilities are also decent. Having mess and other basic facilities available on campus make the life of the student more convenient. I also feel that the campus is designed in such a way that encourages students to participate in various events and competitions.

Faculty: I have had a pretty good experience with the faculty at DBS. Mostly our teachers are approachable. They are always willing to help whenever students have doubts. The curriculum is a mix of theory and practical work. So we do not just sit and study from the books. We have a number of presentations, projects, and activities that make classes way more interesting.

Other: I chose BBA because I wanted to understand different areas of business before deciding where I wanted to specialize. What I like most about DBS is the exposure we get through events, industrial visits, internships and different student activities. Many activities are happening around the campus and students get opportunities to participate in events, competitions, industrial visits, presentations and workshops.

Review about DBS Global University.

Placements: Honestly, there are more than 350 recruiters coming to DBS. We have recruiters from sectors like FMCG, consulting, banking, tech, E-commerce, etc., coming for recruitment. Companies like HCL Tech, ICICI, Deloitte, Flipkart, Wipro, etc., come for recruitment. Approximately 98% of students got placed this year. Our college claims that this year the placement percentage will increase. The average salary package offered is 8.7 LPA, and the highest package is 40 LPA. 20% of students grabbed an average salary package of 13.2 LPA.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of DBS is quite interesting because it contains all the facilities such as Wi-Fi 24X7, SAS and SAP labs. We also have spacious classrooms, libraries, and sports activities such as badminton, football, table tennis, etc. There are 3 college canteens, and mess facilities are also available, providing hygienic food.

Faculty: Faculty members are very supportive and helpful. They are very friendly. Even if you have silly questions, they don't make you feel intimidated. Most of them hold Ph.D. s and have industry experience, and it actually shows how they teach in the class. The course curriculum is relevant because, with theory, they will take students to industry visits for experience. Semester exams feel easy because the faculty teaches us very well. Approximately 99% of the class passes the semester exams.

Other: I have chosen BBA because of the opportunities in corporate sectors. I like to manage activities and all. Campus life is very interesting here because of the crowd, friends, fests, and most interesting is Genesis. Genesis is the most interesting fest, which runs for 1 month, in which all the courses compete with each other by making brands. This is very helpful to learn branding and marketing.

My experience as a fresher in college.

Placements: As per my knowledge and what I have heard from my seniors, the placement percentage is low. If anyone has skills, they can get placements off campus. I haven't seen any top companies during my time. If anyone is referred by an alumnus to their company, they can get a job there. The internship percentage is good but not great. Anyone can get an internship, but you need skills to get a paid internship.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is great. Wi-Fi, labs, and a library are available and are in good condition. The classrooms are not that great. There are no smart boards. Teacher's voice is sometimes inaudible from the last bench. There should be speakers and a microphone for lectures. Hostel facilities are available, but the seats are very limited. Only three students from each branch of B.Tech are allotted hostel seats based on merit. The food in the canteen is great, but the prices are a little high. An ambulance is available for emergencies. Buses are also available every 30 minutes for students.

Faculty: Teachers are very helpful. They offer extra classes for students who have missed lectures or need additional help. Teachers are very qualified and knowledgeable. In fact, they share not only theoretical knowledge but also their life experiences with us, which keeps us motivated and helps us.

Other: Political parties are present on campus, which can be helpful for students. At the time of selection, students enjoy the DJ night, and the environment on the campus is full of excitement and chaos.
