Indira Gandhi National Open University offers BSc and BSc (Hons) course across different durations. The course duration range from three to four years. Check out all specialisations available under BSc in the following table:

Yes, IGNOU MBA applicants can apply for scholarship schemes offered by the Government of India. Students can apply through the official website. Contenders visit the centre and for fianancial assiatnce. 

IGNOU MSc fee is INR 15,000 and INR 43,200. And, like all the other courses, a non-refundable registration fee of INR 200 (unless specified otherwise) is charged along with the course fee for the first semester/year at the time of admission. 

IGNOU offers a two-year MBA programme in General and Banking & Finance specialisations. The eligibility required for different MBA programmes is as follows:

Yes, IGNOU students get placement. However, the percentage of students getting direct placements through IGNOU campus placement cell is less. Canddiates wanting to enrol in MBA at IGNOU have to pay the required first year fee amount. The payable amount is prescribed by the open university. IGNOU MBA tuition fee ranges from INR 6,300 to INR 68,000. This fee amount is as per the official website/ sanctioning body. It is still subject to revision and hence, is indicative.

Yes, you can get a job abroad. There are certain organisations that do prefer full-time graduation but getting rejected everywhere should not be the scenario. IGNOU is recognised globally as a university. There may be other reasons for the rejection like in the current scenario, hiring is very specific, so hence, maybe your qualification does not match. The post may require someone with experience. Your skillset may be lacking for the position that you have applied for. Relook at the job posts that you have applied for and then see if there are any other reasons.

Currently, in COVID 19 situation, the job market is very bleak and since you have just done your graduation and if money is not adequate necessary then try doing some additional courses like digital marketing, graphic design, website development. These would be an added advantage and would increase your job prospects too. Well, IGNOU provides distance learning degrees. If you are a graduate from IGNOU you might be able to take admission into some medium level foreign university but it will be a struggle to cope up with the regular programme that too in foreign.

If you wish you go abroad for MBA, it is advisable to take your graduation in regular mode in reputed universities like LPU and then take your chances in many credit transfer programs which can get you into reputed foreign universities and that too with much less expense.

Candidates seeking admission to the BCA course from IGNOU must meet the course-specific eligibility requirements. The students who have passed Class 12 or equivalent exams from a recognised board can apply for the UG programme. Moreover, eligible students can visit the open university's official website to register and apply. After the application is verified, the students can pay the admission fee amount and confirm their seats. For more course details, the students can contact the allotted regional centre.

The total tuition fee for B.Ed at IGNOU is INR 55,000. This information is sourced from official website/ sanctioning body and is subject to change. For more details, students are advised to contact the admission office. Although, in the fee, a non-refundable registration fee of INR 200 (unless specified otherwise) shall be charged along with the programme fee for the first semester/ year at the time of admission.

As per the official brochure released, a student is allowed to pursue two academic programmes simultaneously through ODL / Online mode, as per the illustration given below.

Certain programmes are not allowed under the simultaneous registration. Students are advised to visit
the official prospectus for the same. Additionally, there will be no change in the counseling/ assignment submission/ examination schedule in case dates for the above clash for the courses in which a student has taken admission.

 It is compulsory to carry IGNOU ID-Card when appearing for the exam. However, in case a students forgets to bring the same, he or she can show an identity proof like Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, etc. Most of the exam centres accept identity proof in such cases but to avoid any kind of conflict, students must carry their IGNOU ID-Card along with an identity proof and admit card.

Yes, IGNOU is a trusted and accredited distance education university. It is a central university which was established by an ACT of parliament in 1985. Therefore, a distance education degree from IGNOU is equivalent to a degree granted by any recognised university in India. Also, the degree from IGNOU University is acceptable and valid overseas and in foreign countries with ease. The reason behind this is IGNOU is a recognised university under the UGC and is a governmental university too. Adding further, an IGNOU degree is approved by DEC and AICTE as well.

Yes, all IGNOU degrees are valid for any purpose, whether you are appearing for any entrance exams or employment exams. It has recognition at the national as well as international levels. IGNOU is a recognized university under the UGC and a government university. Adding further, an IGNOU degree is approved by the Distance Education Bureau (UGC) and the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) as well. Additionally, IGNOU provides free UPSC CSE coaching to scheduled caste candidates at no cost. Students who have applied for B.Ed, MBA or PB BSc Nursing must appear for the required entrance and check if they've qualified it. Followed by application, application fee payment and entrance, students who have completed their registration can check their status by entering their registration number on the IGNOU admission status page. The university also notifies students about their admission confirmation or rejection through an email and a text message in the next two months.
