    Q:   What is the admission cycle of IGNOU?
    A: 

    IGNOU admission cycle opens twice in a year i.e. January and July. The registrations for January session usually begins in December and close by March. The July session for ODL/ Online programmes begin in May and continue till July. The mode of application is online for all the courses.

    Q:   What are the top 5 courses in IGNOU?

    One of the leading universities in India, IGNOU offers over 200 UG, PG, diploma, certificate and doctoral courses via open and distance learning (ODL) mode. Candidates interested in IGNOU admission can apply through the online admission portal for ODL programmes, i.e. ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in. In addition, the university launched an Online Education portal under its umbrella and now, it offers more than 40 UG, PG, Diploma and Certificate courses via the same.

    Q:   Can I pursue 2 courses offered at IGNOU at the same time?
    A: 

    As per the official brochure released, a student is allowed to pursue two academic programmes simultaneously through ODL / Online mode, as per the illustration given below.

    Certain programmes are not allowed under the simultaneous registration. Students are advised to visit
    the official prospectus for the same. Additionally, there will be no change in the counseling/ assignment submission/ examination schedule in case dates for the above clash for the courses in which a student has taken admission.

    A: 

    IGNOU cutoff 2023 for the BEd and the Integrated BEd courses is based on the BEd Entrance test. As per the previous year, IGNOU cutoff 2023 ranged between 293 and 339 for the General category All India Quota. Tabulated below is IGNOU BEd cutoff 2023 for General All India:

    Q:   Do classes take place in IGNOU?
    A: 
    Yes, Indira Gandhi National Open University conducts its classes in its study centres, under the guidance of regional centres. However, IGNOU doesn't run any classes in the main campus. When a student registers for a course in IGNOU the student picks a Study Centre and a Regional Centre according to their choice. The books are obtained from the selected study centre. Also, IGNOU offers a facility called IGNOU Online' which gives its students an opportunity to study online for programmes and courses which are not available in the area where they live in.
    Q:   Is study material free at IGNOU?
    A: 

    IGNOU provides study material to all the students pursuing a course from the university. The material is accessible to all the students irrespective of their location. While filling out the application form, students can choose hard or soft copy of study material. The study material is free of cost and aspirants only need to pay the course fee for admission.

    Q:   Is a degree from IGNOU valid?
    A: 
    Yes, IGNOU is a trusted and accredited distance education university. It is a central university which was established by an ACT of parliament in 1985. Therefore, a distance education degree from IGNOU is equivalent to a degree granted by any recognised university in India. Also, the degree from IGNOU University is acceptable and valid overseas and in foreign countries with ease. The reason behind this is IGNOU is a recognised university under the UGC and is a governmental university too. Adding further, an IGNOU degree is approved by DEC and AICTE as well.
    Q:   Do we have to pay full fees in IGNOU?
    A: 

    No, IGNOU does not ask students to pay the full fees in one go. The fee payment is done in two halves in a year. Candidates have to re-register in order to pay the fees. The fee payment can be made online. Candidates should keep the fee payment receipt with them for future references.

    It is a good university, but you need to upgrade its infrastructure.
    Placements: Our college is an open university and doesn't provide placements. If you need placement, seek another university. You will not get any practical knowledge. All you do is read books and attend exams. There is a room for placement, but I don't know why it was closed.
    Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our university is old, but its road and garden are beautiful. For more information, you have to visit this university. The capitarea is closed. I don't know why. It may be because of COVID. But you can get study materials easily. They have stationery at the beginning of university.
    Faculty: The teachers in our college were very helpful. Even though I was late, they provided me with books and my course about paralegals. You can work as a consultant or paralegal after finishing this course. Because it is an ODL university, you will have the least interaction with teachers. But the staff are helpful.
    Other: You can choose this course as a side study.

    Our college has good faculty members and helpful staff.
    Placements: Around 13% -15% of the students are placed in our course every year. The highest salary package offered is 2.8 LPA, and the average salary package offered is 1.5 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is 1 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Dalmia BIZ Best price, Retail Pvt. Ltd., Aegis Ltd., Autoportal. Com, Reliance Life Insurance, Radical Minds, Technologies, Aegon Life Insurance, Aegis Services Pvt. Ltd., Aviva India, Quikr. Com, Radical Minds, and Thumsmatic Solutions Pvt. Ltd. Only 5% of the students get internships at rare chances. Top roles offered are operation & planning assist manager, customer relations executive, assist. executive education program, educational sales consultant, general practitioners, family physician, overseas education counselor program officer, community health assistant manager, and junior radiographer.
    Infrastructure: Infrastructure and facilities depend on your study center. There is no hostel provided by IGNOU as it provides only distance courses. Other facilities like canteen, other curriculum activities depend on your study center which you choose.
    Faculty: Teachers and staff members are well qualified, and their teaching quality is good. The course curriculum is very easy, and every student will easily get good marks by making assignments and attempting theory. Exams are also easy for this course.
    Other: I chose this course because it is for only one year and has vast job opportunities. This is the best thing about this course. I think internships must be provided by IGNOU in hospitals for enhancing more practical skills. Events and others are depending upon your selected study center.

    It is a very good college for distance learning.
    Placements: 60% of students got placed in my course. We don't know about the packages yet, and there are no placements or recruitment guidance provided till now. The top roles offered in the course are basically the teaching roles for small children and their development.
    Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure are a bit fine. It can be rated average. Canteens are good and affordable. Library and classrooms are well maintained for all the students. Sports and games are not that satisfactory. Medical facilities are perfect.
    Faculty: The teachers are helpful and qualified to teach us. They have good knowledge about their specific subject. The teachers for online classes are good, but classes are not taken at the given time. Semester exams are good for those who genuinely study.
    Other: I genuinely wanted to teach children with a new perspective and under different guidance. I wanted to come up with new ways of teaching small children which will help them learn quickly.

    Average college ( prefer as a last option)
    Placements: No placement cell. Very few chance you can get placed. You have to apply yourself in different companies. There is not any companies that come here for hiring employees. You have to earn the job on your own. For internship you have to apply in different institutes.
    Infrastructure: The colleges are same as Delhi University. Classes held on weekends. Labs are very good. No facilities of library for IGNOU students. No wi-Fi facility available. Classrooms are average. It is a distance learning programme so no hostel facility available. Canteen food is average.
    Faculty: Faculty: Professors are very supportive and very helping in nature. All teachers are highly qualified and have tons of knowledge of course as well as general life. Laboratry teachers are also very good . Course is very advanced and help in gaining and learning core of syllabus. Exams are good but checking is strict.
    Other: Crowd is great. Connectivity is easy
