With a GATE score of 605 and a rank of 3050, as an OBC candidate, you have a good chance of getting into some NITs and potentially some newer IITs, but the specific programs and institutions will depend on your chosen discipline and the specific cutoffs for that year. Factors to Consider:GATE Score and Rank:Your score of 605 is a good score, and a rank of 3050 is a decent rank, but it's important to remember that GATE scores are relative and can vary based on the difficulty of the exam and the number of candidates.OBC Category:As an OBC candidate, you'll be competing with other OBC candidates for seats, which may have slightly different cutoffs than the general category.Program and Discipline:The specific program and discipline you are applying for (e.g., Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, etc.) will have different cutoffs, so you'll need to consider the cutoffs for your specific program.IIT vs. NIT:IITs generally have higher cutoffs than NITs, so you'll need to consider whether you're targeting IITs or NITs, or both.Newer vs. Older IITs:Newer IITs (like IIT Mandi, IIT Jodhpur, etc.) may have lower cutoffs than older, more established IITs (like IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, etc.).NITs:NITs can be a good option for OBC candidates with a GATE score in this range. Possible Outcomes:IITs:With your score and rank, you might be able to get into some newer IITs, especially if you are applying for programs with lower cutoffs.NITs:You have a good chance of getting into many NITs, especially if you are applying for programs with lower cutoffs.IIITs:You might also consider IIITs (Indian Institutes of Information Technology), which are another good option for students with a good GATE score. Recommendations:Check the Cutoffs:Carefully check the cutoffs for your desired programs and institutions, as they vary every year.Consider Your Priorities:Think about your priorities and what kind of institution and program you're looking for.Apply Strategically:Apply to a range of institutions and programs, including those with lower cutoffs, to increase your chances of getting in.Don't Give Up:Even if you don't get into your top choice, don't give up! There are many other great opportunities available.

Hi Shikha,No, clearing the KEAM (Kerala Engineering Architecture Medical) exam won't help you get into IIT Bombay. Admission to IITs, including IIT Bombay, is strictly through the JEE Advanced exam. First, you need to clear JEE Main with a good score to qualify for JEE Advanced. Your rank in JEE Advanced will determine your chances of securing a seat in IIT Bombay, especially for competitive courses like Integrated B.Tech + M.Tech in CSE.KEAM is only for engineering colleges in Kerala. For IITs, JEE is the only pathway.Hope this clears things up. Good luck with your preparation!
