To access the registration page, click the "Apply Now" option located beneath the name of the M.Tech course. After choosing the programme, click "New user to register click here" once more. Then, click "New user Registration/Login." Candidates must register using their email addresses (email addresses cannot be changed later), preferably gmail.com. Following registration, an email verification is sent to the registered email address; upon confirmation of the email, the online application can be completed. The non-refundable application cost can be paid online using a credit card, debit card, or net banking account.

Both IISc and IITs are the premier institutes of India. But there are certain distinctions between them in terms of research, faculty, ranking, etc. deciding which university is better varies from student to student based on different parameters set by them. However, as per NIRF 2023 Rankings, IISc Bangalore holds the top two rankings in the "University" and "Overall" categories. The majority of IITs are not as highly ranked by the NIRF. Additionally, the highest package offered due to IISc placements 2023 was INR 85 LPA, while the average package offered was INR 28 LPA. Furthermore, aside from other IITs, IISc Bangalore is the only institution that takes JEE ADvances scores into account for admission to its B.Tech program.

For the OBC category, the round 1 closing rank is 624 under the AII India Quota. So, basis the IISC Bangalore M.Tech cutoff 2024, candidates must secure a rank over and above 600 to secure a seat for Mechanical Engineering.
