At the overall college level, the tuition fees for various courses is INR 18,000 - 8,00,000. If we dig deep, for the UG courses, the tuition fee is INR 40,000 - 8,00,000. Similarly, for PG courses offered at IISc Bangalore, the tuition fee ranges between INR 18,000 - 82,500. The IISc Bangalore BSc fees is INR 40,000. The duration of the course is four years. The eligibility criteria for admissions should pass Class 12 with 60% aggregate and Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics are the compulsory subjects in their qualifying exam along with any other subjects. The entrance exam accepted includes JEE Main, JEE Advanced, IISER Entrance Exam, NEET.
The university does not charge any extra application fee as per course requirement. The charges are will be same across all the courses. Candidates can check the list of application fee from the points mentioned below:
- General, OBC, EWS categories: INR 500
- SC/ ST/ PwD categories: INR 250
The difficulty level of CEED exam has been maintained by authorities over the years. However, most design aspirants share that if difficulty level of all design entrance exams conducted for PG level courses is compared then CEED is slightly easier than NID Entrance Exam. This is primarily because the drawing questions asked in NID that are considered to be tougher than those put forth in CEED exam. Note that CEED exam is for admission to the M.Des courses offered by the eight participating colleges. Meanwhile, the NID that for the M.Des programme has three participating colleges.

If you belong to the General AI category, the JEE Advanced cutoff rank required for B.Tech. in Mathematics and Computing was 856. Similarly, for B.Sc. (Research) specialisations, the cutoff rank required for admission in 2025 was 2263.

IISc Bangalore GATE cutoff 2026 for the ECE course for the General AI category was 650 in round 1. For the OBC AI category, the round 1 cutoff for the same course was 600. This difference in the score says that the competiton for the General AI category was higher than the OBC AI quota.
