IIT Bangalore has a great infrastructure and amazing learning experience.

Placements: From our current batch, after the first semester, many students got internship opportunities in companies like KPMG, Upgrade, Amazon and many other startup companies. The highest salary package offered for a data science graduate is around 54 LPA-56 LPA, and the average salary package offered is around 15 LPA-18 LPA. We need to have a minimum of 2.65 or 4 GPA in our academics. Nearly 60%-70% of the students from a class get their placements and internships. A few of the students continue to pursue their PhD as well. Job profiles offered include roles of various streams like big data engineer, BI developer, data analyst, data engineer, data scientist and machine learning engineer.

Infrastructure: Our college is situated in Electronic City Phase 2 and has a beautiful campus with greenery around. The classrooms are really up to the standard of any top-notch college in India and abroad. We have access to the vast library, and we get access to it even after completing the course for about 6-8 months. The hostel is decent, but as I am a resident of that location, I have not opted for it. Many of my friends stay in the hostel and are recommended for students who come from different places.

Faculty: The lecturers here have a vast amount of knowledge and experience, especially statistics and machine learning professors were my favourite, from whom I got to learn many things. Special connect sessions and webinars are arranged from time to time by industry experts and tech talks. We will get exposure to theory and practical aspects during the capstone project. It is a complete end-to-end experience.

Other: The data science stream is booming and the most desired field for working in the 21st century. Moreover, I like to solve problems with data and research around articles and research papers. So, I chose this course.

Placements: In our college, almost 140 students are placed. The highest salary package offered is 2.02 crores per annum and the average salary package offered is 30 LPA. Around 60% to 70% of students get internships. Top recruiting companies like Google, Amazon, Flipkart, IBM, Microsoft, Samsung, etc., visit our campus. Top roles offered are software developer, technology analyst, technical staff member, and technology consultant.

Infrastructure: Our college has excellent infrastructure. Wi-Fi is available throughout the campus. Labs are available for different study areas with the latest equipment. The library is good and it has a large number of books. The hostel is good and is kept very clean and hygienic. The food is good. Medical facilities are available. The college is located in the city so there is no issue with hospital facilities nearby.

Faculty: Our faculty members are good and friendly. They are highly qualified and knowledgeable in their respective fields. The teaching quality is good. The course curriculum is relevant. The curriculum is very well-planned and it covers real-life experiences. Course assignments and projects help you learn a lot in that domain.
