Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST), Awantipora offers three-year Diploma in three specialisations. The university has specified the requirements that an applicant must satisfy to be eligible to take admission to a Diploma course. The eligibility criteria for all three specialisations are the same. Diploma (Lateral Entry) aspirants must appear for the University Entrance Test to secure admission. They must also fulfil the below-given eligibility criteria to be considered for admission:

• Candidates who have passed Class 12 shall be eligible for admission to the second year of Diploma Course (s) in any branch of Engineering and Technology; OR
• Candidates must have passed Class 12 with any of the three subjects: Physics/ Mathematics / Chemistry/ Computer Science/ Electronics/ Information Technology/ Biology/ Informatics Practices/ Biotechnology/ Technical Vocational subject/ Agriculture/ Engineering Graphics/ Business Studies/ Entrepreneurship
