Diploma (Lateral Entry) aspirants must appear for the University Entrance Test to secure admission. They must also fulfil the below-given eligibility criteria to be considered for admission:

• Candidates who have passed Class 12 shall be eligible for admission to the second year of Diploma Course (s) in any branch of Engineering and Technology; OR
• Candidates must have passed Class 12 with any of the three subjects: Physics/ Mathematics / Chemistry/ Computer Science/ Electronics/ Information Technology/ Biology/ Informatics Practices/ Biotechnology/ Technical Vocational subject/ Agriculture/ Engineering Graphics/ Business Studies/ Entrepreneurship
