BMS in Tourism and Hospitality Management - Batch of 2025

Jain university College Life.
Placements: There are 12 students in my healthcare course because this course is newly introduced by our college. 45.5 LPA was the highest and 3.50 LPA was the lowest offered by the college for the package. Accenture was the top company and Microsoft. Almost 70-80% of students got easily placed in internships through the college. The role offered by this course is hospital administration, like the head of the department who is running all the departments of the hospital.
Infrastructure: The facility of Jain University is so nice for every student. They help students in every situation. The infrastructure for our course department is also very spacious, with Wi-Fi available in every class. The quality of the hostel food is so bad; most of the people complain about the food, but they do not respond. However, all medical and security facilities are top-notch.
Faculty: The teachers of Jain University are very kind and helpful. They will never judge students, and they treat every student equally. Yes, the course curriculum is very relevant to our subjects. They give us internships related to our subjects. Especially, the semester exam is so easy for us. At the end semester, there is a 50-mark exam, out of which only 17 are passing marks, and the other 50 marks are counted from activities, viva, presentations, etc.
Other: I chose this course to continue in the hospital industry. The best thing about this course is the greater impact of getting knowledge rather than just learning lessons. They provide every single session to get a virtual experience of what we are learning and the knowledge we are gaining.

I am not satisfied with this university's management. They are very bad at management.
Placements: It is average. But the hostel is not good. It is better for a student to stay in a PG or some other place. Because Jain university’s hostel doesn't care about good food and comfortable stay. Staying in Jain University’s hostel means spoiling your university life. So don't take university hostel at all.

Faculty: All the faculty members are good. No objections. But the student has to have the interest to learn things. Teachers do their job very well. They all are very supportive. No problem at all. It's up to you actually. What you want to achieve. What you want to acquire.
Other: For engineering courses it is good but for other courses, it is not good at all.

Prefer the college if you can afford. Because the college is pretty costly .
Placements: The placement for our batch was average. Approximately 50% of the students got placed. The highest Annual CTC received by my batchmates was 3.2 LPA. The lowest CTC was 1.8 LPA. Since that was the covid peak time most of them were placed in non Tourism and hospitality background companies. Only Data hired from T& H industry.
Infrastructure: The college infrastructure is pretty good. All the classrooms are smart classrooms with projectors, sound systems etc. All the faculty members are really friendly. Everyone is down to earth person. Hostel infrastructure is also awesome. But food is pure vegetarian. Both are a bit expensive.
Faculty: All the faculty members are highly qualified. Most of the faculty members are PhD. holders. Courses are related to curriculum. The second and third years are more into the core. Invigilation and exams are strict. The pass percentage is above 90% and all the faculty members are ready to help 24/7.

Overall, I had an amazing experience, as the campus and faculty are good.
Placements: In my specific course, we got good placement opportunities. Even though the college was closed during the pandemic, the placement team has been interactive, and they even created a portal where you get direct updates and can apply for placements without any hassle.
Infrastructure: The college has everything, from a cricket net in the basement to a basketball court inside the college. The college also has 3 canteens with every type of food available around the campus within walkable distances. The classrooms are huge, and it also has a library with a large collection of books.
Faculty: All the teachers are very skilled and experienced. Everyone I came across had good knowledge and was really helpful. When I required a letter of recommendation, the teachers were very cooperative and helped me.

Not all satisfied with the college or course events are nice, crowd is nice, faculty is good.
Placements: Companies were of less stature avg CTC was 3.2 lacs. Around 90 percent of my batch didn't sit for placements because of this all were entry level roles. We had e and y KPMG, dineout, eazy diner, the highest package was 6 lacs, the lowest was 2.2. Overall placement assistance is bad.
Infrastructure: College campus is good library is nice but lacks sports and games, next to nil. We had a canteen, a library pretty much that is couple of indoor games, events are nice, Wi-Fi isn't available. We were promised AC but there wasn't any, infrastructure is poor can be improved given what they charge.
Faculty: Faculty is good and friendly, exams were easy, course wasn't relevant thought same syllabus every semesters. The pass percentage is usually 90 percent and above. My course is industry relevant it teaches through practical basis and was nice no excursion but no industry visit.
Other: Events are great.

Our college supports sports and Co curricular activities at its best.
Placements: Around 30 students were placed in my course As I am just in my first semester I don't know much about the pay scales Taj hotels, Lufthansa airways, emirates airways, JET airways, swizz airways, Oberoi group of hotels, JW Marriott came for placement.
Infrastructure: We are taught everything using the projectors except accounts. We have good and decent classrooms and there are books in our library regarding our subjects We have really good and big library which has thousands of books related to our studies and vast seating arrangement.
Faculty: The teachers all are qualified helpful knowledgeable and very friendly. The teaching quality is really very good and impressive. The course is more related to management studies more than tourism and hospitality management. It includes business topics.
Other: I chose this course because I like to explore travelling and like to travel. We go on trips every semester.
