Jain University Bangalore Jayanagar was established by Dr. Chenraj Roychand under the Sri Bhagwan Mahaveer Jain Educational and Cultural Trust in 1990 in Bangalore as a private university. It is recognised as a Deemed-to-be University by UGC. Jain University Bangalore Karnataka is approved by the UGC. It is also a member of several national and international organisations, including the AIU, AUAP, NIBES, and the Association of Commonwealth Universities and with an A++ grade by NAAC.
