JIS University conducts JET or JIS Entrance Test for admission to UG and PG courses. The university also accepts WBJEE scores for admission to BPharm and BTech programmes. Aspirants may also need to come for group discussion/ interview round for final selection.

JIS University offers a UG course of BPharm for a duration of four years via its School of Pharmaceutical Technology. This course is approved by the Pharmacy Council of India and offered in affiliation with AICTE. To enhance the learning experience of students, the department is fully equipped with the latest analytical instruments like Heidolph rotary evaporator, Multi-station dissolution apparatus, Shimadzu UV spectrophotometer, Bruker FTIR, Agilent HPLC, Eppendorf deep freezer amongst a very few along with modern laboratories. Students also get to attend multiple seminars, workshops and training programs during the commencement of the programme. Candidates can admission to this course with a valid score of JET/WBJEE.

 JIS University has concluded its placement drive for the batch passing out in 2023 with 50.79% placements rate. Definitely, one can pursue B Pharma after completing D Pharma. The process is slightly different in terms that once a candidate completes a D Pharma, instead of taking admission to B Pharma directly and starting from the first year, the candidate can take admission to lateral entry. In this case, the candidate has to take admission in 2nd year and then the B Pharma shall be of three-year duration. This is a popular method of pursuing a B Pharma, wherein the candidates wish to expand their knowledge base as well as pursue a higher degree in Pharmacy.

WBJEE took place in April 27, 2025. WBJEE test has a duration of 4 hrs where, the students have to attempt 2 papers with 1 paper having ques from Maths only while the 2nd paper has ques from both Physics & Chemistry. 

JIS University Kolkata admission criteria is entrance-based. The selection is done on the basis of JIS University Entrance Test (JET) scores. Candidates who are Class 12 or equivalent pass with at least 50% aggregate and required subjects can apply. The registration form can be filled out on the official website.

After application scanning, shortlisted candidates can proceed with document verification and fee payment. The total tuition fee amount for DPharm is INR 1.7 lakh. This fee amount is as per the official website/sanctioning body. It is still subject to changes and hence, is indicative. 

Candidates who meet course-specific eligibility criteria and have a valid score of JIS University Entrance Test (JET) are eligible for admission. JIS University admission is open online. Till now, no schedule has been released by the university. Since the application portal is live, candidates can apply online for their preferred course. JIS University carries out seat allotment based on applicants JIS University Entrance Test (JET) scores and seat availability. The selection is also subject to fulfilment of the eligibility criteria. Hence, the aspirants must be Class 12 pass with at least 50% aggregate and the relevant subjects. 

The total seats available for the DPharm course is 60. This seat count is as per the official website/sanctioning body. It is however still subject to changes and hence, is indicative. 

Yes, JIS University provides scholarships via its School of Pharmaceutical Technology to students of BMLT. The university offers a fee waiver of minimum of 5% up to 100% on the tuition fee of BMLT to its meritorious students. In order to get admission to a three-year BBA (Hons) course at JIS University, there is minimum eligibility criteria prescribed by the university to select the right candidates. Candidates who pass Class 12 with minimum 50% aggregate may apply for this course. The selection is done based on the scores obtained by candidates in either JIS University Entrance Test (JET), which is conducted by the university itself. The university also accepts scores of UGAT.

Candidates who qualify for UGAT in the first place are no longer needed to appear for JET. They can directly apply for Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI) rounds. The final selection is done based on the scores of candidates in the respective entrance exams and performance in GD and PI rounds.
