College life at JIS University.
Placements: 10 percent of students got placed according to their CGPA. The highest package is 6 LPA. The lowest is 1 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Cipla, Dr Reddy, Wipro, Apollo Pharmacy, and other medical institutions. Internships got based on the CV of the students. Roles offered are research, laboratory, and sales.
Infrastructure: The library is very good. Abundant books are available. Wi-Fi is decent. Labs are good and classrooms are clean but there is no AC in classrooms. Auditoriums and corridors are clean. Food is okay and sports facilities are available. All the necessary materials are available for our curriculum.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful. Most of them are IITians and are highly educated. The course curriculum is very much relevant to us. It makes us job-ready. Semester exams are moderate. You can ace it if you focus on your classes with a little bit of effort.

Excellent faculty and college life.
Placements: 20-30 percent of students got placed depending on their CGPA and academic skills. Top companies are Sun Pharma, Wipro, Cipla, Sagar Dutta Medical College and Hospital, Mendine Pharmaceuticals, and various other hospitals. The highest package is around 6 LPA while the lowest is around 1 LPA. Internships depend highly on the students and their CV how capable they are they get internships on that basis. Management and lab work jobs are offered to beginners, even in sales as well.
Infrastructure: We have several labs allotted and the classrooms are spacious. The only issue with the classroom is the availability of AC which makes it worse in this weather. Wi-Fi is decent it works but not very well. The library is fully updated with the latest books required for the curriculum. The sports facility is excellent. We have our sports club which organises events for us. Just to ensure students stay happy.
Faculty: Teachers are excellent. Most of them are IITians and they help a lot. If you want to learn they are always open to ideas and motivation and if you are working on any projects they will share all their experience just to help you. The course is relevant. It gives us real insight into the job world that we are about to get into after completion. Semester exams are moderate it depends on you how you will perform. If you listen to the classes attentively it becomes easy to pass the exams so just staying attentive helps.
Other: I chose this college as it comparatively offered the course for a lower price compared to other biotechnology colleges in Kolkata. Adding ACs in class would make the college 100 times better. Events are planned by the students' committee with the help of teachers and we love to do fests with the help of the necessary teachers. Our department has a lot of clubs like the cultural club, Science club, sports club, and art club just to help the students with their interests.

My personal experience in JIS University.
Placements: I've been offered placements via emails. They notify me and tell the selected students to fill out the job application and go for an interview. Only 3 students from my class out of 22 were selected for placement, but I'm studying microbiology. The companies were offering jobs in my field, such as Maruti Suzuki sales executive role or BPO call center role, which are completely opposite of my selected course.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure and environment are great, but Wi-Fi is really slow, and they restrict it from some websites. I didn't go to a hostel and am currently going to college from my home, so I don't have any hostel experience. However, as far as my friends who live in a college hostel told me, the mess food was not good. I went to the canteen and ate some food, to be honest, that wasn’t good either. I didn't participate in sports or games, but there are many events like football tournaments.
Faculty: Semester exams are easy as long as you prepare well and do not do last-minute preparation, but yes, teachers provide important notes for exams, so it shouldn't be worrisome. For teachers, I would say some are good, while some are really dismissive and arrogant. I would not say that students could be industry-ready after completing this course.
Other: I'd chosen this course because I like Biology and liked to explore it further, especially in microbiology, as I'm curious about little creatures that we can't see with our eyes, how they actually work. Well, if I have to say about improvement, the college has to do is that they should provide some internship related to the course, which is included in the college fees and without any extra charges. There are many events like famous celebrities like Kartik Aryan came for his film promotions. I didn't go, but my friends did.

Placements: Not many people are placed after B.Sc. If you develop skills and gain knowledge, you will definitely be good. If you want to get opportunities, they are given after you complete M.Sc. Many people are placed from our seniors into reputed companies. The lowest package offered is 2.5 LPA, the average is 3.5-4.5 LPA, and the highest can go 7-10 LPA. Many top companies like Amazon, etc., do give placement to Biotechnology if you're good enough. The HOD of your department will be sending you to more reputable colleges and companies for internships. Most of the roles offered are research-based.
Infrastructure: The classrooms are decent; we have digital boards. Well, not all the classrooms have AC, but we do have AC labs. The library is the best in our college, which is open during college times to issue books and study. The labs aren't much well-equipped. The canteen is very much affordable! Starting from 45 rupees, and everything is under 75 rupees during college hours. Hostel 24*7 medical services are available, and the hostel fee per month is 6k, which is very safe. JIS SAMMAN is an event that occurs for days and also includes sports events.
Faculty: The teachers here are very knowledgeable; the maximum of them are Ph.D. holders. The course is very much relevant, from practical to theory to subject combination; everything makes us industry-related, and seminars teach us application-based things. The college exams are not much tough, as the teachers help us to get away with exams. We have to score a minimum of 37 marks on 100 in each subject to pass the semester.
Other: I chose this course as it's value for money, and not many government colleges have this degree, and fewer private colleges have the degree. The labs need to be improved. Fests and JIS SAMMAN are like annual fests, and throughout the year, many things going on in the college—so many that you will be unable to participate in all of them, only occurring in your own department.

The facilities offered by the college are very good, and the cost is bearable.
Placements: There are many companies that come for campus placement in the college. The companies include Cipla, Wipro, Amazon, and many more. The placement percentage for the recent batch was around 50, as many opted for further studies. The average package is around 3.5 LPA for our course.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is very good on campus, with well-equipped laboratories for practicals, and the classrooms are equipped with projectors for digital teaching. The college also has a Wi-Fi network that is open to all students, with lift facilities available.
Faculty: The teachers here are very qualified and helpful with any problems that students face in the curriculum. The classes are conducted well, and practical classes are held regularly. The course curriculum is very relevant to the course being pursued.

All the facilities are available.
Placements: Now we have no placement through our course is just to be end. In our course there are 19 students but no placement is given to us. So we are requesting to give su h opportunity to us. Hopefully last of this course we got placement offers so it is more helpful to us.
Infrastructure: Labs and classrooms are nice. Labs equipments are good. All faculty members are good Wi-Fi facility is also good. Sports and games competition are happens. Classrooms are clean and many other tournaments are organized by our college. The canteen is all good.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and knowledgeable. Exams are good. Workshops are organized by college
It makes us industry ready. The semester exams are very gopd and also mid sem exams are very helpful for us because it makes us ready for the main examination.

I am satisfied with faculty members and good infrastructure.
Placements: The placement cell locates job opportunities for undergraduate and postgraduate students by keeping in touch with reputed firms and industrial establishments. It maintains and updates the database of students regularly.
Infrastructure: The laboratory, classrooms, and library are good. All classrooms have projectors. We have different types of equipment in our laboratory. Our university has a well-equipped and well-stocked library with a variety of books. It has a seminar room, an auditorium, a canteen, etc.
Faculty: All teachers are helpful. They are qualified and knowledgeable. They teach us well. They specialised in various fields of study and teach different subjects. Teachers understand every student's potential, learning speed, etc. They interact with students to enhance their learning.
Other: The campus is very good. Our college provides scholarships to students based on the criteria.

I would recommend joining this college.
Placements: Around 10% of students got placed in our course. Top recruiting companies are Cipla, GCC Biotech, Nestle, etc. The salary package offered ranges between 2 LPA - 5 LPA. I got recruitment mail from TCS BPS.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is good. Our college has an open-air gym. We have a swimming pool. The food served in the mess is not good.
Faculty: Faculty members are good and helpful. Our HOD is very good. He helps students. He always tries to solve problems, if we face any problems. The course curriculum makes students industry-ready. Semester exams are not difficult if we study well. The pass percentage is 40%.
Other: I opted for this course because I wanted to study something related to Biology. I am a cultural coordinator of our department. Many events are held in our college. Our HOD gives us a lot of enthusiasm to conduct events. The auditorium is always booked by CSE and pharmacy students, which is not so good.
