Q:   How can I get admission in JIS University?
A: 

Candidates should have passed the Class 12 examination from a recognised Central or State Board or its equivalent in Science stream with a minimum of with 60% aggregtae with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English. JIS University course admissions selection criteria are entirely based on the university-level entrance exam called JIS University entrance test JET-2024 for UG and PG courses. This is to note that, the aptitude test followed by GD/personal interview will be practised for every course admission at JIS University.

JIS University admission is open online. Till now, no schedule has been released by the university. Since the application portal is live, candidates can apply online for their preferred course. The university offers various courses such as BTech, BPharma, MBA, PhD etc. at the UG, PG and PhD level. Apart from the UG and PG courses the university also offers three Diploma courses, i.e., Diploma in Hotel Management, Diploma in Food Production and Bakery and Diploma in Fodd and Beverages services.

JIS University is very good for your future. Placement records are great.
Placements: This year, 90% of students got placed. The highest package is 15 LPA, the average is 5 LPA, and the lowest is 3 LPA. Top recruiting companies are TCS, Capgemini, and Accenture. At least 80% of students get internships in whatever they want. Top roles include Software Developer, Data Scientist, Machine Learning Engineer, and Cybersecurity Analyst.
Infrastructure: Food in the hostel is available. We have a big ground in front of our university. The university hostel is clean and clear. The hostel is 5 minutes from our university. You get 3 meals every day, and the university also has its canteen where you can get delicious food.
Faculty: Our university's teachers are graduates. Everyone is a professor and has experience. Their teaching skills are awesome. Semester exams are difficult but not impossible. If you attend classes every day, it's easy for you. It makes you industry-ready.

Review of JIS University.
Placements: The most important thing for any study is placement from college and placement from this college is very good. Most of the students got placed at this college in a good company. Some of these companies include -AIR India Limited, Doordarshan Kendra Airport, Authority of India, Eastern Railways, Indian Oil Corporation Limited, BSNL Indal India Limited Oil, and Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC)I. T. C Limited Hindalco Ltd. Larsen & Toubro (L&T), and many others.
Infrastructure: The college offers a separate hostel facility for boys and girls. Nutritious food is served in a centrally located mess. The hostel fee is Rs. 4500/- per month payable quarterly and the one-time admission fee is Rs. 5000/.
Faculty: Generally, two internal slots are conducted before each semester exam. I find slots very beneficial for students as we constantly study throughout preparing for one slot to another. Each week labs are conducted and viva is taken randomly anytime so it becomes easy. It is good, firstly students are being taught by eminent professors and experts from the industry. Various case studies and business scenarios are discussed during the tenure projects and are given to students for details reports and their weightage is included in final marks.

Dissatisfied because of placement.
Placements: There are 20 to 30% of students are placed in 2024. TCS is the top recruiting company for my course. The associate support engineer role is majorly offered for our course. The highest package is 26 Lacs and the lowest is 1 Lacs. Only 10% students got internship.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good. But the Wi-Fi connection is average. Smart classrooms are good but normal classrooms are not so good. Library facilities are excellent. The reading area is vast and organized. Sports and game facilities are available. Football, volleyball and cricket match are held. And also if any students want to showcase their talents like singing, dancing, arts and designing they are cordially appreciated and got chance to showcase their talent.
Faculty: Faculty members are really helpful and good at teaching. Yes the course is curriculum relevant but college don't pay attention to all students. They just told students that we should try to get job by own. There are placement classes too but that is not so relevant at the last moment.
Other: I have chosen this course because I have an interest in computer Science since childhood. They should focus on student growth. They should provide placement classes from earlier and need to prepare students for the industry through sessions and classes where students can grow interest in learning not only exams and assignments for all over 4 years.

Very good teachers, below average placements in 2025, average infrastructure and facilities.
Placements: Placements are not so good. Very few students got placed in 2025. The minimum average package is 3 LPA, and the maximum average package is 7 LPA. Top recruiting companies are TCS, Wipro, Infosys, etc. Top roles include data analyst, SDE, marketing, and others.
Infrastructure: The entire campus has Wi-Fi facility. The library and few classes are air-conditioned. There are an abundant number of computer labs and well-functioning computers. There is also a dedicated Apple computer lab where all the systems and accessories are Apple. The college canteen has good food at decent amount.
Faculty: Most of the faculty members are very good, with depth of knowledge in their subject. The curriculum is set under UGC guidelines and at par with all other universities throughout the country. Semester exams are not so difficult as it is an autonomous college.
Other: This course makes us job ready. More focus should be given to project building rather than theory learning. There are very few events and rarely any fest.

Great college, affiliated with JIS Group. JIS Group is the biggest educational group in East India.
Placements: 50% of students get placements. The highest package can be 15 LPA to 20 LPA. Microsoft and Amazon are one of the biggest companies in recruiting companies. 60 to 70% of students get internships. You can also get a chance to research in foreign universities with so exam criteria and with your merit.
Infrastructure: There are so many courses in our college. B.Tech and B.Pharma are best for them. Hostels are also clean and serve good food with cheap fees. There are buses which take students to hostel and from college and from hostel to college. Hostel fee is only Rs 36,000 for a year. 3 times foods will be served. Food is also good quality. There is a big canteen on university campus. It also serves good and quality meals at cheap prices.
Faculty: Faculty members are very good and helpful. Teachers take at least 1 class test every month. 4 major exams are taken by the college in a year. Every department has a big faculty member. Teachers are also very helpful. Exam fee is Rs 1,500 per semester. Supply exams are only for Rs 1,300.
Other: So many events and fests happen on our campus. After taking admission there is a big program happens for freshers in Biswa Bangla.

Good faculty in computer science.
Placements: Recruitment is low but it is as expected given the condition of the Indian economy. There are tons of seminars conducted and the teachers are very helpful in guidance but the students have to show the desire and ambition to do more and utilize the resources provided.
Infrastructure: Sports are played diligently and tournaments are organized. The library facility is very good and proper football, badminton, volleyball and cricket tournaments are played with trophies as prizes given. A proper ceremony is also conducted to facilitate them Wi-Fi is available and an AC auditorium.
Faculty: The college has great faculty. They are very friendly and helpful. The course curriculum is relevant and the students are given many opportunities to shine. The semester exams are conducted with papers from all across the vast syllabus. It is relatively difficult and also very nice.
Other: The growth of this industry is amazing all around the world. And I also want to be a part of it. JIS is considered a top private college according to Google but in the end, it all depends on the students on how they will utilise the resources.
