The mode of admissions at the Jiwaji University varies from one course to another. Jiwaji University admission is both merit and entrance-based. Candidates seeking direct admission to the university could apply for courses such as MA and MSc, in which the admission is given on the basis of the merit of the last qualifying exam. However, candidates wiling to take admission to other courses such as BTech and BA (Hons) must appear for the JEE Main and CUET UG entrance exams, respectively.

 The total fee of MA ranges between INR 14,580-INR 61,580, including tuition, course development fee, caution money and other fee components. During the Round 1 cutoff, the closing rank for CSE was 25886 for the General category students under the AII India Quota. Among OBC candidates, the closing rank for B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering stood at 8750. As per the placement stats of 2024, the UG 3-year programme graduates received a median package of worth INR 2.40 LPA, whereas, UG 4-year graduates received a median package of INR 2.80 LPA. In comparison to 2023 placement stats, wherein, the median package offered during Jiwaji University BPharm and MPharm placements 2023 stood at INR 1.45 LPA and INR 1.9 LPA.
