In a recent study conducted as part of the Top 20 Outlook-ICARE Ranking, the University is ranked 11th. Academic and Research Excellence, Industry Interface and Placement, Infrastructure and Facilities, Governance and Extension, Diversity and Outreach were taken into account for the ranking.CUK scored 381.7 out of 400 in the most important academic and research excellence category.

Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry (B.V.Sc. & A.H) at Kerala Veterinary and Animal Sciences University is a 66 months course offered at the UG level. Candidates who have passed in the subjects English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology at the Higher Secondary Examination of the Board of Higher Secondary Education, Kerala or examinations recognised equivalent thereto and obtained 50% marks in aggregate of these subjects are eligible for admission in Bachelor of Veterinary Science. Admission to B.V.Sc. is regulated by Commissioner for Entrance Examinations of Kerala (CEE) and Veterinary Council of India (VCI) on the basis of merit as assessed in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test conducted by the NTA (NEET). There are total 125 seats in College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Mannuthy and 100 seats in College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Pookode altogether for B.V.Sc.

Acoording to the data and stats of the college speaks for itself thats in 2023, during the postgraduate placement session.The median package offered to students was INR 7.5 -8 lakh, which is not so satisfactory whereas the stats in 2021 speaks a different story that is about 43 students were placed out of 90 and successfully got placed which is a satisfactory placement .The college cell coordinates well by organising placement drives, campus drives and etc.with career guidance.This plays an important roles as it boost the student moral and also keep them up to date for companies and recruiters .

The entrance exam to get admission in the Kerela Veterinary and animal sciences university for the MVSC is as follows:The student must have a Bachelor degree in the same course that is Veterinary and animal sciences i.e is BVSC that is recognised by the university .With all theseyou should have to also maintain your OGPA i.e Over all grade pointer in the exam held in the university .The OGPS must be 6.0/10 or equivalent that is 50% score or marks in the traditional grading system . Considering for SC/ST candidates must be 5.5/10 or equivalent .It also contain entrance examination and interview conducted by the university itself . Some seats or approximately 25% seats are reserved for the ICAR candidates . For the ICAR candiates the students are interviewed and an entrance examination is conducted by ICAR itself and then students name are then advised to the university. Admission process are clean and fair taking into consideration the factor on which selection is done.

With compulsory subject as phyics, chemsitry and biology. It also consist of academic score and the score of NEET (National eligibilty cum entrance test), where a student need aggregate of about 50% in class 12 in the boards which you are appearing for . As the NEET score and rank varies from year to year the cutoffs also change so making a fluctuation every year . For general students which is 6.0/10 and for ST/ST it is 5.5/6.0 approximately to still avail you have to be in the top 10%.
