The eligibility criteria for various UG & PG courses vary at colleges affiliated to Kerala University. Basic eligibility to apply for a seat for M.Com in university of Kerala is that candidate should be a graduate having done either a B.Com or BBA in graduation. 80% of the total seats would be reserved for candidates with B.Com. The basic eligibility criteria is that the applicant must have passed Class 12 and a certificate or UG course in the respective specialisation from a recognised organisation to be eligible. The University of Kerala PG Diploma category-wise eligibility requirements (CGPA) are mentioned below:

1. Eligibility for General category: CGPA of 2 or above in a 4 - point scale, 3.5 or above in a 7 -point scale or 5 or above in a 10-point scale.
2. Relaxation for candidates from SC/ST category: CGPA of 1.8 or above in a 4-point scale or, 3.15 or above in a 7-point scale or, 4.5 or above in a 10-point scale.
3. SEBC Category: CGPA of 1.92 or above in a 4-point scale or, 3.36 or above in a 7-point scale or, 4.8 or above in a 10-point scale
4. Persons with Disability Category: CGPA of 1.8 or above in a 4-point scale or, 3.15 or above in a 7-point scale or, 4.5 or above in a 10-point scale.

Students who wish to get admission to the BA (H) programme at Kerala University must qualify for the basic eligibility criteria. As per the criteria, students who have completed Class 12 examinations of the State or an equivalent examination are eligible to apply. However,   for admission to BA (H) English, a candidate must have scored a minimum of 70% aggregate (60% aggregate for SC candidates and 55% for ST candidates) in Class 12.

Kerala University has not yet released the cutoffs for 2024. However, the cutoff information for 2022 is available. As per that, the overall closing rank for BSc admissions stood at 1391. Mentioned below is the specialisation-wise Kerala University cutoff score for BSc courses:

The BA LLB seat intake at Kerala University is divided in two colleges such as Government Law College and Mar Gregorios College of Law. These colleges are affiliated with the Kerala University. The Government Law College has alloted 132 seats for the BCom LLB programme. On the other hand, the Mars Gregorios College of Law offers 66 seats for the BCom LLB programme. Combining both, the university offers a total of 198 seats under its BA LLB programme.

The University of Kerala is affiliated with over 20+ colleges/institutes offering BSc (H) courses. This amounts to an intake of 5000+ seats for the BSc (H) programme. Sree Narayana College for Women, Fatima Mata National College, St. Joseph's College for Women, and Alappuzha are some of the colleges that has a decent seat intake for these courses. Among all these colleges, Sree Narayana College for Women has the highest seat intake with 312 seats. 

Kerala University boasts a high intake for its BSc (H) programme. It offers approximately 5000+ seats for BSc (H) admissions. This happens due to its affiliation with many colleges/institutes. All the information about the seat intake has been taken from the official sources and are suject to change. 

Candidates must have a B.Ed degree of University of Kerala or any other B.Ed degree recognised as equivalent to there to by the University of Kerala to apply for M.Ed programme. Aspirants should have secured a minimum of 55% aggregate to apply for M.Ed. Besides, only Indian citizens are eligible for admission to professional courses. 

After completion of the selection process, Kerala University conducts a Centralised Allotment Process. The allotment is done in multiple rounds. Aspirants can check the allotment on the official website of Kerala University. They need to check the allotment link provided in their profile. Aspirants who get allotment are require to remit the university fee to confirm their seat in the university.

The shortlisted candidates must present original as well as self-attested photocopies of documents for verification purposes at the university. Such candidates are required to bring along the following documents:

• Medical certificate (for person with physical disabilities)
• Category certificate (in case of SC/ST/OBC candidates)

Candidates seeking admission to a MA programme of the University of Kerala must fulfil the eligibility requirements. Aspirants with passed Bachelor’s degree or equivalent exam in the relevant subject as per the MA specialisation are eligible to apply. Additionally, the candidate must have passed the degree course from a recognised university. It is also necessary that the aspirants hold the degree pass certificate and other academic documents as a proof of eligibility for verification purposes.
