Harsh Kumar Singh
B.Sc. (Hons.) in Zoology - Batch of 2028
Offered by Jamshedpur Co-Operative College
4.4

This college is value for money.
Placements: I am from B.Sc. Zoology (2020-2023). Around 10-15% of students got placed in roles like lab assistant, field worker, or medical sales. The highest package is around 3 LPA, and average is 2 LPA. Most students opt for higher studies or prepare for government jobs. Placement support is limited.
Infrastructure: Our Zoology department has basic lab facilities. Classrooms are decent and spacious. College has a central library with helpful books for science students. There's no hostel, but the canteen provides simple food. A small medical room and a sports ground are available for students.
Faculty: Teachers in the Zoology department are well-qualified and supportive. They explain topics clearly and help during the practical. The syllabus is updated and useful for competitive exams. Semester exams are moderate in difficulty, and the pass percentage is generally high.
Other: I chose B.Sc. Zoology because I love studying animals and nature. The course is interesting, and the faculty members are supportive. Regular college events, NCC, and a peaceful campus make student life enjoyable. I wish there were more practical sessions and career guidance. The crowd is decent. College is well-connected. Scholarships are available for eligible students.

Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) - Batch of 2027

The college name in short is ABM, and it is an average college for side studies.
Placements: Our college does not give placements. No companies come for the placement drives. Till now, I have spent more than 3 years here. Currently, there are no opportunities for any placements. A few years back, some placement drives were conducted, but were not liked by everyone.
Infrastructure: Good classrooms are available. There is a peaceful library with books to study. The quality is good. There are no medical, mess, sports, or canteen facilities. I have been studying for more than 3 years in this college, and I also completed my 12th class from this college.
Faculty: Teachers are knowledgeable and qualified. Their teaching quality is very good. The course curriculum is not relevant, and the Indian education system is the worst. It does not make students industry-ready. Semester exams depend on students, and the pass percentage is around 80%.
Other: I need more time to study for the CMA exam, so I chose this college.

Master of Commerce (M.Com.) - Batch of 2024

Absolutely Satisfied with the College.
Placements: Our batch have around 200 students in the Master of Commerce course in session 2022-24. Companies visited our college for recruiting students, but most of the companies offer very low packages and out of cities. The package was around 1-2 LPA mostly. Mostly roles offered were BPO.
Infrastructure: I am absolutely satisfied with the college infrastructure and building. Its size is small but beautiful. It looks good. It is located in the market area of Sakchi, near the famous Jama Masjid. It provides all basic facilities like a library and canteen. A basketball court is available.
Faculty: Teachers are good, but students don't attend classes regularly due to many reasons like many of them working part-time jobs. Classes were postponed many times. The course curriculum is relevant. The semester examination is of an easy to moderate level. Almost all students pass.
