Karnataka State Open University offers open and distance Learning (ODL) courses. The university offers access to e-content, E-access to SLMs, books, and journals in the main library, and online lectures. Yes, KSOU offers lateral entry admission to the UG courses, including BA, BCom and B.Lib.Sc. Candidates seeking admission need to possess a three-year Diploma from a recognised institute/ university with a minimum of 50 per cent aggregate (45 per cent for SC/ ST candidates).

No, KSOU doesn't accept any entrance exam for admission to MBA programme. Admission to this course is based on candidates' performance in the last qualifying examinations. For admission to KSOU MBA course, candidates must have a bachelor’s degree from a recognised university with a minimum of 50% marks or a minimum of 45% marks for SC/ST candidates.
