It offers more than 250 courses at UG, PG, diploma, PG diploma, certificate and doctoral level across multiple fields such as Applied Sciences, Law, Business & Management Studies, Commerce, Engineering and Pharmacy.

Step 1: Maharaja Agrasen University Application Process 2025
Maharaja Agrasen University admission process 2025 starts with the application process. Candidates can download the application process from the university's official website. The duly filled application form has to be sent either through post or submitted in person at the concerned department at MAU. However, the application and entrance test fee will be paid online and candidates have to attach the pay slip along with the two copies of the online bank challan with the application form.
Step 2: Selection Rounds
Admission to all the PG courses at Maharaja Agrasen University is entrance-based. Candidates have to qualify for either university-level or state-level entrance exams such as CAT, MAT or merit for the selection of respective courses. Furthermore, the university offers UG courses through its affiliated colleges. Admissions to UG courses are based on merit scores obtained in the last qualifying exam.
Step 3: Merit List Release & Counselling
After the completion of all the selection rounds, candidates have to appear for the counselling process for the respective courses. Later on, the university will release the merit list in various rounds of the selected candidates. Students who find their names on the merit list need to pay a certain amount of fee to secure their seat.

Maharaja Agrasen University offers PhD programme as per the UGC regulations in 11 specialisations. The minimum duration of the PhD programme is three years, including course work, which can be extended up to six years. Admission to the same is based on a valid score obtain in UGC-NET (including JRF)/ CSIR-NET/ SLET/ GATE/ GPAT exams. However, for PhD admission, the University also conducts an in-house entrance test which consists of two papers followed by a PI round.
- The entrance exam designed for PhD programme consists of Paper-I and Paper-II with a total of 200 marks, followed by a PI round which is of 100 marks
- The duration of Paper-I is one hour and it comprises 50 objective-type Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) on General Awareness and Research Methodology. Each correct answer will be awarded with two marks
- Paper-II is subject-specific and consists of 50 objective-type MCQs, of two marks each. Students are given a time-period of one and a half hours for the same
- Final selection for PhD programme is based on the candidate’s performance in the PI round
- Candidates are required to secure at least 50% aggregate (45% aggregate for reserved category candidates) to pass the entrance exam
