A decent college with good environment.
Placements: In electrical engineering department at my college, the placement rate is around 95 percent. There is a decent package of placements of around 22 Lacs and the highest package is I guess 55-60 Lacs. Well, the rates are gradually increasing, the level of education and placement is increasing day by day.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is quite decent. The hostels are not up to mark, water shortage, no Wi-Fi, etc., but the classes, lecture halls, laboratories and library are good, and atmosphere is very nice. Overall, it's a nice place with lovely climate and greenery.
Faculty: The curriculum is good. Everything we need in our course is already upto mark, and also exposure to practical skills for internships and all is there. Teaching quality is good but for exams, you'll have to study on your own if you want to score good marks.

Absolutely the best placements in 2023.
Placements: Students become eligible from 7th semester. Companies like Amazon DeShaw Salesforce Deloitte etc visit here. They respectively take a good number of students. The highest package offered is 80LPA by DeShaw and average package is around 13 to 15LPA. 93 percent of students are placed. I am also planning to sit in the placements and go into the development field.
Infrastructure: In hostel we get a basic room with 3 to 4 people sharing with basic facilities. There are no AC rooms and there are common washrooms. Meal quality is good and it serves cuisines from pan india. Wi-Fi all over the campus with CCTV security. Classrooms are spacious and digitally updated. Labs are good all apparatus used in industry is available.
Faculty: Faculty members are quite approachable. You can just directly go to the facultys cabins and talk to them. There are 4 exams in a year 2 per semester mid sem and end Sem. There is no such marking scheme and it completely depends on the faculty. Exams are sometimes a bit tricky.

Good location, nice atmosphere.

The highest package was 80 LPA by DeShaw, and the average package is around 13 to 15 LPA. 93% students are placed. I am also planning to sit in the placements and go into the development field.
Infrastructure: There is a large variety of books in the library related to all fields. All the classes are equipped with smart boards. There are a lot of clubs and societies. Societies function throughout the whole year, and clubs in their respective semesters. In the hostel, we get a basic room with 3-4 people sharing with basic facilities, there are no AC rooms, and there are common washrooms. Meal quality is good, and it serves cuisines from pan-India.
Faculty: The curriculum is well planned, with each subject divided judiciously in different semesters. However, a bit of change must be made regularly to keep pace with this rapidly changing technology. Faculty members are quite approachable, you can just go directly to the faculty's cabins and talk to them. There are 4 exams in a year, 2 per semester (mid sem and end Sem), there is no such marking scheme, and it completely depends on the faculty. Exams are sometimes a bit tricky.

Absolutely good campus and culture of my college.
Placements: Placement record is 93%. The lowest package is around 8 LPA, average is 12 LPA, and the highest is 53 LPA. Recruiting companies are JP Morgan, DE Shaw, Cisco, Wells Fargo, Samsung, Dell, and many more. Internship record is around 60-70% in B.Tech, M.Tech, and others too. Top recruiters are Samsung, Dell, and Oracle.
Infrastructure: Our college has good infrastructure. It has great scenery in college since it is in the mountains. Building of each department is too good with proper management and all. Hostels also have better space management and mess systems for hostelers, along with night canteen facilities. Separate hostels are available for both boys and girls of each year. Lecture halls are there with all facilities like AC rooms and smart board.
Faculty: Faculty members are good in terms of teaching their subjects. They teach us with their own different style making us understand each topic clearly. Each student is assigned a faculty as consultant to look care of students. Faculty also help in getting internships, and work experience either in companies or in other IITs.
Other: Being student from CSE I must say that all faculty members are skilled in their domain and tried their best that they can do for students. Also, events like Hill'fair and Nimbus are arranged on our campus which are must to attend that glorify our classes.

Highly recommended college.
Placements: Placements are excellent. Recent years show great placement sessions for CSE placement index is 92% for mechanical, and it was 99%. A student of the mechanical engineering department got placed at 205 LPA on campus placement in an international company. Placements for other branches are also good.
Infrastructure: There are very good quality hostels present in our institute. There are a total of 13 hostels in the National Institute of Technology, Hamirpur. The quality of food in our hostel is very good and is hygienic. Mess workers are corporate, and night canteens are present in every hostel. A hospital is also present in our institute.
Faculty: All teaching staff are very helpful. They solve every doubt of every student. All are well qualified. Most of them have done Phds from IITS. All professors in foreign countries are very knowledgeable. Exam levels are difficult. But according to my paper, it comes at a moderate level. Course curriculum is relevant.

The natural beauty of NIT Hamirpur is so awesome. You will love it.
Placements: About 80% to 90% of the students of the ECE branch have been placed in different core and tech companies like Google, Microsoft, JP Morgan, Atlassian, Samsung, Nvidia, etc. 68 LPA is the highest package offered for two students in the ECE branch, the average package is around 18 LPA, and the lowest package is 6 LPA. But overall, the highest package is around 2 crore per annum offered to an MNC branch student in game development. The CSE branch average package is 27 LPA in 2025. Around 30% to 40% of my branch students got internships.
Infrastructure: If you are a fresher, then your hostel is KBH (Kailash Boys Hostel). Hostels are so awesome, but you will see some monkeys. Monkeys are not as harmful as you think. The one thing is that there are three to four LAN cables in each room. If your LAN is not working, then you can also use Wi-Fi, which is very fast and unlimited. The library is also open for you, but till 8:00 PM in the first year. When you become a senior, you will get HBH hostel and library up to 12:00 AM. All classrooms have a digital board.
Faculty: Teachers are well educated and taught everything, but not the details, so you can rely on the professors only. Some of your efforts also involve the exams. The course curriculum is relevant for all the branches, but if you want to go in tech, then you must also study. Semester exams are so easy. The only thing you need is to prepare for exams for a week only, and all the time you can spend to learn other skills. To pass any course, you have to get 40% of the total marks.
Other: There is a scope of the semiconductor industry in the past years. Nearly all the tech companies allow you to sit in the interview for tech fields. Hillfair is an annual fest that is conducted around Diwali. This is conducted on the ground. You will enjoy so much with the top singer of Himachal. So many scholarships are available that you can fill, but at a time, you can only fill one. If you have knowledge of how to fill out a scholarship or which is better for you, then go to the student welfare office. All the information about the scholarships they provide.
