The placement details for the Class of 2024 are yet to be release on the official website. However, as per the students’ reviews on Shiksha page, MDSU Ajmer recorded 50% placements for the recent batch of MBA and MMS courses. The admission process for majority of the courses at MDSU are merit-based. However, candidates wishing to apply to B.Ed or MEd are required to go through an entrance-based admission process. Candidates are judged over their performance in entrance exams such as PTET. 
Candidates who meet the entrance cutoff are invited for further admission rounds. 

University of Rajasthan (UNIRAJ) has more affiliated colleges than MDSU Ajmer. Therefore, UNIRAJ provides more BA seats than MDSU. In addition to that the tuition fees of colleges affiliated with UNIRAJ is much less than MDSU Ajmer. A candidate pursuing BA at UNIRAJ will have to pay in the range of INR 6,600 – INR 3.6 lakh, whereas the BA tution fee at MDSU is in the range of INR 57,000 – INR 91.2 lakh.

MDSU Ajmer offers multiple MSc courses across multiple affiliated colleges. Candidates taking admission into the programme should note that the MSc programme is two years long and follows the semester model. Therefore, the programme has four semesters which candidates have to pass to be eligible for an MSc degree.

MDSU Ajmer provides 14,647 seats in its BSc programme. These seats are provided across various specialisations and across affiliated colleges of the university. Government PG College, Deoli and Samrat Prithviraj Chauhan Government College offers the most amount seats for the programme with 520 seats and 2054 seats, respectively. There are also multiple women's colleges where only women can take admission.

If we take into account only MSc seats, MDSU Ajmer offers 1801 seats for its MSc programme, the seats are divided according to the specialisations and the affiliated college offering the courses. Out of all the affiliated colleges, Samrat Prithiviraj Chauhan Government College offers the most amount of seats for the MSc programme with 360 seats. Manikya Lal Government College offers the second-most seats with 300 seats in its MSc programme.

MDSU admissions for UG & PG courses generally start in the month of May. The applications for other courses started around the same timeline. There are no the latest dates released by the university. Students can seek the estimation from this timeline for the upcoming admission dates for the next year.
