at Mangalore University, Mangalore

Mangalore University offers MBA as a 2 year UG level programme in full-time mode. Admission to the MBA programme is done through the PGCET exam conducted by the Karnataka state government. Apart from this, the university considers KCET, CAT, MAT, GMAT, CMAT or other equivalent. Furthermore, the university offers an MBA on the basis of 45% minimum aggregate in graduation. 

Mangalore University offers 123 seats in its MBA/PGDM programs. There are a total of 1454 seats in affiliated institutes and among these the names include St. Aloysius Institute of Management and Information Technology that holds 240 seats, Saroj Educational Group with 300 seats, Srinivas Institute of Management Studies holding 120 seats, and A.J. Institute of Management with 180 seats.

Important dates for MBA/PGDM admissions at Mangalore University comprise the last date for application towards KMAT application form for Session 2, which is November 10, 2024; Karnataka PGCET options entry started and will go on till November 11, 2024. Karnataka PGCET mock seat allotment results will be released on November 11 followed by the option to edit options mid-November; the first round of allotment results are expected in the last week of November.

University of Mysore is also good, but I prefer Mangalore University, with first-class campus environment and first-class teachers.There are no comparable standards for universities, and every university has different development ideas. For a rigid comparison, Mangalore University is better than University of Mysore

 

The university offers admission on one or more of the entrance exams such as CAT, MAT, XAT, CMAT, and KMAT, for admissions in MBA programs. University Evening College, Mangalore has below criteria for taking admissions to it's various courses:

B.A.	Candidate must have passed 12th/equivalent from any recognised institute/board are eligible to apply.
B.Com	Candidate must have passed 12th/equivalent from any recognised institute/board are eligible to apply.
M.A.	Candidates who have studied Konkani as either the first or second language at the graduate degree level for not less than two years/four semesters are also eligible to apply provided such applicants have secured not less than 60% marks in aggregate in the examination of the subject. The marks scored in the Konkani First or Second language examinations would be equated with the marks of the optional Konkani (the cognate subject) as follows:60% in Konkani First or Second language to 45% of optional Konkani (the cognate subject).Candidates who have passed any Bachelor degree examination of Mangalore University or any other University considered as equivalent thereto and have secured an aggregate minimum of 45% (40% for SC/ST/Category-I candidates) marks are also eligible to apply if seats are left vacant after considering applications from category 1 and 2 above. The candidates from this category, i.e.; category 3 would be selected solely on the basis of an entrance test designed to test (a) the candidates' ability to read, write and speak Konkani fluently, and (b) a basic awareness of the literary world of Konkani.
M.Com	Candidate must have B.Com/B.B.M or equivalent with mentioned marks in the aggregate in commerce subjects from any recognised university.
BCA	Candidate must have passed 12th/equivalent from any recognised institute/board are eligible to apply.
Certificate	Candidates who have passed 10+2 examination conducted by Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board or any other examination considered as equivalent theretoLanguage shall be eligible. Admission will be made strictly in order of merit based on the degree/certificate in each of the following categories:1.Post Graduate and above2.Graduate3.10+2Students who are studying 10+2/Graduate/Post Graduate Level or its equivalent levels may do this programme along with regular classes.
UG Diploma	Candidates who have passed the certificate examination in German language conducted by Mangalore University or any other recognised University is eligible for admission. Admission will be made strictly in order of merit of the respective Certificate examination.Candidates who have obtained their certificate in German language from any other institution one year before the year of admission shall be required to appear for an admission test to be conducted by the university.
MBA/PGDM	Candidates must have passed Bachelor's degree of minimum of 3 years duration examination or equivalent and obtained an aggregate minimum of 50% marks (45% of marks in case of SC, ST and Category-I of Karnataka candidates). Final year students can also apply on provisional basis.

Institute has a well supported campus with facilities such as Auditorium, Cafeteria, Gym, Hospital / Medical Facilities, Hostel, Labs, Library, Sports Complex, Wi-Fi Campus.

Mangalore University offers admission on the basis of merit and accepted entrance exams. The university offers UG, PG, PhD, PG Diploma and certificate programmes in various streams such as Management, Commerce, Arts, Science and Technology. Admission to several courses is offered based on the valid scores of accepted exams such as Karnataka PGCET, KCET, CAT, MAT, GMAT, CMAT, and other equivalent examinations. Candidates must secure a minimum aggregate of 35% to 45% in Class 12 and 45% to 50% in graduation.
