Mangalore University offers MBA as a 2 year UG level programme in full-time mode. Admission to the MBA programme is done through the PGCET exam conducted by the Karnataka state government. Apart from this, the university considers KCET, CAT, MAT, GMAT, CMAT or other equivalent. Furthermore, the university offers an MBA on the basis of 45% minimum aggregate in graduation. 

Mangalore University offers 123 seats in its MBA/PGDM programs. There are a total of 1454 seats in affiliated institutes and among these the names include St. Aloysius Institute of Management and Information Technology that holds 240 seats, Saroj Educational Group with 300 seats, Srinivas Institute of Management Studies holding 120 seats, and A.J. Institute of Management with 180 seats.

University of Mysore is also good, but I prefer Mangalore University, with first-class campus environment and first-class teachers.There are no comparable standards for universities, and every university has different development ideas. For a rigid comparison, Mangalore University is better than University of Mysore

Mangalore University, an accredited higher educational institution was established in 1980, and has since been catering to the higher educational needs of three districts of the southern Indian state of Karnataka. It is a public, state-funded University and has evolved into a centre for advanced studies and research with a good ranking at the national level. The campus is spread over 353 acres and The main campus has 28 academic departments offering 47 Masters and 33 Doctoral Programmes spread over four faculties: Arts, Commerce, Education and Science & Technology with 12 PG programmes

The university offers admission on one or more of the entrance exams such as CAT, MAT, XAT, CMAT, and KMAT, for admissions in MBA programs. For the most up to date information regarding accepted entrance exams and other admission criteria, it will be wise to refer the university website or contact the admissions office.

Mangalore University offers admission to various UG, PG, PhD, Certificate and PG Diploma courses on the basis of merit and accepted entrance exams. Candidates must secure a minimum aggregate in Class 12 for UG level admissions and graduation for PG level course admissions. Apart from this, candidates must qualify respective entrance exams for the preferred courses. 
Candidates must apply for the admission process through the online application process provided by the university. Post successful application submission, candidates will be shortlisted based on the merit list/ cutoff list of the accepted entrance exams. For final admission, candidates must pay the fees and confirm candidature.

Admission to BSc at Mangalore University is merit-based/ entrance-based. Those who are willing to get admission to this course must fulfil the minimum eligibility criteria in the first place. The next step is to qualify for the merit/cutoff list. Some of the affiliated colleges of Mangalore University accept the scores of the last qualifying exam for admission to BSc courses. On the other hand, other colleges might accept the scores of entrance examinations too for admissions to BSc courses. However, to check the acceptance of entrance examinations, candidates should directly reach out to the admission department of the respective college.

Mangalore University is one of the oldest public universities in the southern region.  It is a NAAC 'A' accredited university with recognition from AIU (Association of Indian Universities).
