Q:   Is MG University a good university?
A: 

Yes, Mahatma Gandhi University, is one of the major Universities in Kerala. MG University has been ranked 43 among the top Universities in India by NIRF 2025. MG University offers students as well as staff a wide range of amenities. Separate hostels for boys and girls, a library, canteen, auditorium, laboratories, medical facilities, and many other amenities are available at Mahatma Gandhi University. The library of the university has all the necessary resources to help the students with their academics. This includes books, journals, magazines, e-books, etc.

Q:   How can I get admission to MBA at MG University?
A: 

For MBA admission at MG University, students must have a graduation degree in any stream with a minimum aggregate of 50%. Additionally, students must have passed CMAT/CAT/KMAT Kerala/KMAT/MAT/XAT/Karnataka PGCET/MGU CAP, any one of the entrance exams. Qualified students are further called for a group discussion and personal interview rounds. Aspirants must apply online by visiting the official website of MG University. 

Some of the MGU-affiliated colleges also offer direct admission to an MBA course.

Q:   What is the selection criteria for MG University MA?
A: 

Admission to this PG-level course is through a Centralised Allotment Process (CAP). For selection, candidates have to take the MGU CAT exam, which is conducted in-house. Based on the candidates' score in the entrance examination, a selection list is released by the university. Candidates who make it to the list become eligible for participation in the counselling round. The seats are allotted after document verification during counselling.

Moreover, its affiliated colleges accept other entrance exam scores as well. The accepted exam list include CPGET/MAT/CAT/CMAT/KMAT Kerala/Kerala University Admission.

Q:   Who is eligible for admission in MG University for MSc?
A: 

The MGU MSc course aspirants with a valid BSc or equivalent degree with at least 50% aggregate are eligible to apply. However, it is necessary that the candidate did the degree course in the relevant stream. The eligibility criteria for some of the MSc specialisations is mentioned below for reference:

The college is good, but programs and events are fewer.
Placements: The placement is good. Many companies come for recruitment.
Infrastructure: The hostel is very good, and life is so good. The food is so good. There is non-veg food 6 days a week. Vending machines in our hostel. The behavior of the hostel warden is good. They behave so well. I like the hostel very much. There are many events in the hostel.
Faculty: Teachers are good. They support us in every curricular activity. Their behavior is so good. They treat us like their children. The semester exams are not that much tougher, so everyone can pass the exam and get good scores in internal marks. The course curriculum is relevant.
Other: College life is very limited. They should improve the events that are conducted on campus. They should make sure all the students are doing extracurricular activities. I would recommend it if you are ready to join a college with less campus life.

My review of this college.
Placements: The placements are good in college. There is a separate placement cell in the college which provides placement and internship opportunities to students. Students were informed by the placement cell about internship and placement opportunities. Many Companies visit the campus like TCS, Wipro, Deloitte, Amazon, Flipkart, HCL, etc. The average package is 3 LPA - 4.5 LPA. The highest package is 22 LPA-35 LPA depending upon the students' performance and knowledge. Companies conduct interview sessions and practical tests for selection of students, based on their performance, they make offers to students.
Infrastructure: Hostel facility is available. There is a separate hostel for boys and girls. The rooms are separate, and sharing both is available. The charges are reasonable. The mess food is hygienic and good in taste, with variety, and there are separate charges for mess food.
Faculty: Faculty is very professional and very knowledgeable. Every time they have time to teach us after college, they also help us with study-related questions or anything else that is helpful in our career, and they guide us properly they teach us to work with a team. They are experienced and cooperative. A semester examination system is followed where there are 4 semesters for every semester, there are 40 marks for internals and the remaining 60 for main exams. Mostly students get internals by attending lectures and assignments, and the exam level is moderate. The course curriculum is excellent. Every year the curriculum changes as per industry requirements. The exposure is very good in the curriculum live demonstrations are done, and the curriculum is up to the mark. The course curriculum is in perfect balance between theoretical and practical learning. Special attention is given to personality and communication development.

Review of BMC - Bharata Mata College.
Placements: The college placements were very good. There was a separate placement cell in the college regarding the placement process. It was well concerned about students' placement. Some companies used to come for placements, including TCS, Mahindra, Amazon, Flipkart, HDFC, Infosys, Deloitte, etc. The highest package till then was around 15 LPA–20 LPA. The lowest package was 3.5 LPA. Companies used to conduct interview sessions, GD, and case study tests for the selection of students. It also depended upon the student's education and experience.
Infrastructure: Hostel facilities were excellent. All facilities that you could think of were made available to students. Mess service was also provided with different types of dishes. The quality was also good. Hostel rooms were well-maintained and cleaned. The hostel was secured.
Faculty: Faculty was provided by university. They were highly qualified and experienced in their departments. Faculty members were very well-educated and had ample knowledge related to the course. They were very interactive and masters of their departments. Most of the faculty had doctorates in their fields. The standard of teaching was simple and quite high, which was good for students. The semester examination system was followed. We had end-semester exams of 70 marks every 6 months. In between, we had mid-semester exams of 20 marks each. There were also marks for assignments and attendance. The exam level was moderate. The course began with the basics of business management and business functions. It involved all the basic aspects of management. A lot of market research and case studies were provided during the course to make all the candidates realise the current market scenarios and conditions. It helped a lot of people to understand how exactly things worked.

The college is good for placements and good faculty.
Placements: Our college is good for placements. 80 percent of students got placed in good companies like Wipro, Capgemini, HCL, Tech Mahindra, and some of the students are placed in interest opportunities with good packages. The highest package is 4 LPA. The lowest package is 3 LPA.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure are good in our college. Our college management provides good Wi-Fi connectivity, digital classrooms, and a well-structured library with a good number of books that are useful to us. The food is available in the mess and canteen.
Faculty: Our course curriculum is updated every year which is very useful to us to clear the semesters and useful for placements. The teachers are very helpful, and they clear doubts in an understandable way by providing PPTs, PDFs, and handwritten notes. Semesters are easy to moderate.

B.Ed is the best course in this college.
Placements: More than 90 percent of students are successfully placed from our college. The highest package is 27 LPA. The lowest package offered is 7 LPA. Mass recruiters of our college are LPU, Apollo, Deloitte, and many more. Generally, the top role offered is course coordinator. Students get internship opportunities from the second year.
Infrastructure: We get a great college infrastructure and environment. Classrooms and the library are present and well furnished. The campus is equipped with Wi-Fi facilities. Many indoor and outdoor sports facilities are present in this college. Hostel rooms are affordable and well furnished.

My honest opinion of St. Thomas College, Pala.
Placements: Placements had well-defined procedures. There was a big placement team that helped us prepare better for placements and grab a good job. A student who had studied decently throughout was guaranteed to get placed in a reputed company that provided the best profiles to selected candidates. Lots of companies visited the campus every year. The average package was around 7 LPA. McKinsey, BCG, Goldman Sachs, Deutsche Bank, ITC, Asian Paints, BNP Paribas, Lehman, and Google were among the top recruiters.
Infrastructure: There were separate hostels for boys and girls. Hostel rooms were shared as well as separate. The rooms were of average standard, with an uninterrupted supply of electricity and water and reasonable charges. The mess food was good and hygienic, with separate charges. The hostel was secured with guards.
Faculty: The course curriculum was very good. It included all aspects of management studies. It gave a perfect overview of business management and its environment. The exams happened every semester. The course curriculum was constantly updated by providing relevant courses in the fields of marketing, finance, operations, HR, and skill building. Faculty members were experienced. The majority of them had Ph.D. degrees and teaching experience. Most of the faculty members teaching in the college knew what they were doing. There were many experienced professors who were really inspiring to look up to. The course curriculum was updated according to the needs of the industries. The curriculum included case studies based on real situations of firms or industries and analyzing them. It also included the soft skills that a student basically needed.
