MMU Solan offers direct admission to some of the programmes based on their merit. Candidates seeking admission in BSc, BVoc, MSc, Diploma and value-added courses are selected based on their qualifying exam scores. Once selected, aspirants have to participate in counselling and seat allotment process. Aspirants also have to confirm their seat by paying the course fee.

MMU Solan offers admission to candidates based on their merit or entrance exam scores. The university conducts entrance tests for admission to PhD, BSc Nursing and GNM programmes.
