To secure admission at Mohan Babu University, candidates need to meet the course- specific eligibility criteria followed by applying to their desired course through the Mohan Babu University official website. The admission criteria of MBU varies for UG and PG courses. Admission to most the UG courses in merit-based, except for BTech. MBU BTech admissions are done based on merit secured in entrance-exam. The general eligibilty criteria for MBU UG courses is that the candidates must have passed class 12 with a minimum 55% marks, in any discipline, from a recognised board. Candidates seeking admission to BTech courses must have studied Maths, Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects in class 12 and scored a minimum of 60% marks. 

For candidates seeking admission to MBU PG courses, the general eligibility is the candidates must have passed graduation in any discipline with a minimum 50% aggregate from a recognised university.

Admission to the BTech degree at MBU is entrance-based. The candidate should be qualified in MBUCET, or alternatively, can apply based on their JEE Main, JEE Advanced, or APEAMCET scores. The course is presented in full-time mode with a duration of four years. Satisfaction of the eligibility criteria and holding a valid score in the entrance exam is compulsory for admission.
