Yes, the University offers several merit and need-based scholarships to deserving students. One of the popular scholarships offered by MSU Baroda is DSW Scholarship. The main objectives of the Directorate are to coordinate different activities of Sports, Literary, Cultural, Moral Education, and Placement and Counselling and so on.

The objective of this financial assistance is to guarantee the welfare of student community. It will work as a bridge between students and the administration of The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, Vadodara. The responsibility of the Directorate is to guide and give assistance to students to overcome their problems and on the other hand not to compromise on the Rules and Regulations of the Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, Vadodara.

This scholarship will help student’s whose family’s financial condition is such that the total household income (including income of all family members living jointly in the same house) does not exceed a sum of INR 3.5 lakh. Apart from this, the aspirant has secured at least 50% aggregate in the last qualification as per course requirement.

MSU Baroda Placements MTech 2024

As per MSU NIRF report 2024, the median package offered during MTech placements 2023 stood at INR 5.3 LPA, respectively. Further, a total of 490 and 156 students were placed out of 657 and 398 students during MTech placements 2023, respectively.

Earlier, as per some media reports, 90 Polytechnic students have been placed so far. The highest package offered during MSU placements 2022 was INR 4 LPA. The companies that participated in the recruitment drive included renowned names Schneider Electric, Voltas, Nayara Energy and many others.

The university has released 2020-21 placement statistics for the Faculty of Commerce. A total of 200 students received the campus placements. More than 30 companies visited the campus for MSU placements 2021, which included top recruiters such as TCS, Concentrix, Tech Mahindra and Kotak Mahindra Bank

Good faculty members with a comfortable environment for study.

Placements: I don’t have a complete idea of placements at my college, but as far as I know, 60-70% of students get placed every year. This percentage could be higher, but on average, this many students placed. Almost every student gets an internship during the internship period. I am not sure about the highest and lowest packages, but the average package is around 6-7 LPA.

Infrastructure: The campus features Wi-Fi, Labs, a Library, Digital Screens, and a Cafeteria. The hostel offers many facilities, including Wi-Fi, study rooms, and a mess/canteen. There are also sports facilities for outdoor games like cricket, volleyball, and badminton, as well as indoor games such as carrom, table tennis, and many more.

Faculty: The faculty is well-qualified and very helpful whenever needed. They make students industry-ready through this course. The exams are a bit difficult, but with the help of good faculty and your preparation, you can achieve good grades. The pass percentage is 40%.

It is a good college for students to gain knowledge with skills.

Placements: There are the best companies that come for placements like Alstom, Matrix, M. G motors, L&T, and many more. College also provides internships in good companies where students also complete project work along with internships. Most of the software companies visited the campus.

Infrastructure: The entire campus is Wi-Fi enabled. There is a good hostel environment, and every day they clean your rooms. In the college, they celebrate many technical and non-technical events, where students get a chance to improve their technical and social skills. Overall it is the best college.

Faculty: All the teachers are well qualified and knowledgeable. They are very helpful and friendly. They give practical knowledge of theoretical concepts. Semester exams are difficult but they also teach at that level. Students need 40 marks out of 100 to qualify for the semester exam.

I am satisfied with the infrastructure and facilities. Still, our college should be improved.

Placements: There were 14 students in our batch, and out of them, three students were from the industrial background. So other 11 students, including me, opted to do a job. Among us, only one student got placed in college placements, and he got a salary package of 3.3 LPA. Essar Steel is the recruiting company for our course. One of my friends got selected for an internship in the same company with a stipend of Rs. 10,000 per month.

Infrastructure: Our campus was one of the renowned palaces of Maharaja Sayajirao. So the infrastructure of our college is magnificent with full Wi-Fi facility, labs and classroom facilities. The campus has around 22 hostels, and among which, 9 hostels are for girls, while 13 hostels are for boys. The cleanliness varies with hostels and students stay inside them. Every hostel has a mess facility, parking ground, one of the sports activity and staff members for cleaning. The mess food is not that much good.

Faculty: Some teachers here were very helpful, but some were not helpful. The teaching quality of teachers was overall good. The course curriculum is relevant, and it helped me to think about the research field. It makes us ready to be a good professor in terms of academics.

Other: I chose this course because I was interested in the vast field of the power system. Electricity is the basic need of today's world. My field is related to innovation and development of the power system. I wish that our college provide more interaction with practical, which are related to our field. Our college organises many fests like fingerprint and other cultural events. It provides scholarships as per government rule. Our college is also active in terms of extracurricular activities.

Absolutely satisfied with power engineering course.

Placements: In power engineering batch core company Essar steel, jacob And IT company like Windows maker visits for campus placement. The highest was package offered by Essar which is about 3-3.5 Lac. And average package is around of 2.5 lac per annum. Essar steel also recruit for internship from MS University based on dissertation topic of students and also provide stipend during internship period.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure of college is very old construction. All laboratories are occupied with all necessary apparatus which is necessary to perform practical. Wi-Fi and library facilities also available in college campus. Hostel facilities is also available for outside students with mess, sports and medical facilities.

Faculty: All professor have qualifications as per AICTE norms and all staff member are helpful. There is no doubt in teaching quality of professors and always ready to solve students doubt. Power engineering course is most relevant for electrical engineering students which makes them ready for R& D Department of industry.

Good research and placement.

Placements: Placements in ME is not so much pronounced but it is very good for BE in chemical engineering. About 100% placement in BE between 5 to 17 Lacs PA. College offers industrial and research experience in ME 2nd year. Stipend during internship depends on company profile. Yes, there is placement cell.

Infrastructure: Good and pronounced infrastructure. All the above mentioned facilities are available. Labs are well-equipped and the quality of food in canteen is good too. Hostels rooms are not that much good, but campus environment is friendly. Number of events are happening all the times.

Faculty: Yes the teachers are qualified, experienced and helpful. All the electronic and conventional methods are used during teaching. Student to faculty ratio is 10:1. Yes, student get industrial exposure. Various visits in industries happened during term. The course is useful.

Other: Number of events are organized during term. Large student population. Number of scholarships are available as per as government norms.

Other: The college has a huge library and offer free Wi-Fi facility to students. Almost 80-90% students are placed in companies like Reliance Industries Limited, Tata Motors, The Linde Group, Dabur India Ltd, Ceat Tyres etc. The companies hire students in various departments like Production Manager, QA/QC, Marketing, Sales, and R&D etc. The average package offered is around 4-4.5 lacs per annum and highest package is around 9-10 lacs per annum. Most of the faculty members are Ph.D. in their respective field with loads of experience in teaching. There are well equipped labs and hostel facility is available to outstation students.
