Q:   What is the minimum marks required for LLM at NLU Hyderabad (Nalsar) 2023?
A: 

In order to be admitted to NALSAR University of Law's Master of Laws (LLM) program, applicants must have earned at least 50% of their LLB or its equivalent. SC/ST candidates need to receive a minimum of 45% in their scores. 

Candidates need to pass the CLAT PG test in order to be accepted into the LLM program. There are three required subjects, six electives, and a dissertation in the one-year curriculum.

Q:   Can I get admission in NALSAR without CLAT?
A: 

NALSAR University of Law, don’t offer admission to BA LLB and LLM programmes without a valid CLAT score. Candidates looking forward to practising law in India, are required to clear the All India Bar Exam (AIBE) that is conducted by BCI. On clearing the AIBE exam, lawyers are awarded a ‘Certificate of Practice’ which is mandatory for practising the profession as an advocate in India. However, aspirants who wish to apply for MBA or BBA may not require CLAT and can get admission based on other accepted entrance exams.

 
Q:   What is the cutoff for LLM course at NALSAR Hyderabad?
A: 

NALSAR University of Law prepares LLM cutoff list as per the applicants CLAT scores. In 2024, the closing rank for LLM in Corporate and Commercial Law was 298 for the General-All India category. The cutoff can vary based on the chosen LLM course specialisation. Considering the last three years' cutoff, the closing rank shows a fluctuating trend for NALSAR LLM in Corporate and Commercial Law. The closing rank was 224 in 2023 and 240 in 2022.

Q:   Can I get admission to Nalsar University of Law with 60% in Class 12?
A: 

As per the eligibility criteria specified by NALSAR University, the minimum required aggregate ranges between 45% and 50%. Hence, aspirants with 60% in Class 12 have a chance of getting admission in the university. Besides, candidates also need to qualify the accepted entrance exam. Aspirants wishing to pursue BA LLB (Hons) must appear for CLAT. For BBA, aspirants with IPMAT, JIPMAT or CLAT score can apply for admission.

Yes, NALSAR University of Law offers one-year LLM programme in a full-time mode. The course admission is entrance-based. Candidates are admitted to the PG course based on CLAT score. Candidates who meet the CLAT cutoff become eligible for participation in the counselling round. NLU or seats in the university is allotted through this round. To take admission in this course, aspirants should apply on the CLAT website.

National Law University Kolkata, being a University of National importance since it's a NLU, offers great packages to its students be it in the BA LLB (Hons) or be it in LLM . Nalsar University stands behind NLU Kolkata (NUJS) with a great placement record over the years. In the year of 2022 NLU Kolkata placement stats were great with 96 out of 118 BA LLB students getting placed with a median package of 16pla. Out of 66 LLM students 44 students were placed with a median package of 7 lpa, which is respectable in itself.

Nalsar University is a Hyderabad based Law university which offers degrees in the field of law, like BA LLB ( Hons), B.Sc. LLB, LLM etc. Just like other colleges, here too the fee structure strictly depends upon the programme you are opting for, that is, the fee structure for BA LLB (Hons) will be different than that for the LLM students . According to this college's website the fee structure within the LLM will be different for different programs . I e , for LLM General students, the tuition fees will be 1,75,000 with a refundable deposite of 20,000 . whereas LLM in insolvency and bankruptcy law's students will have to pay a tuition fees of 65,000 with a refundable deposite of 20,000.

NALSAR is the nicest law college in India.
Placements: It is probably the only law college in India where 80–90% of students are placed. It is ranked as the 2nd-best NLU, largely because of the kind of placements that NALSAR provides. Internships are also mandatory. For subjects like Arbitration, Criminal Law, and Security Law, students are assisted in similar internships to gain experience.
Infrastructure: More than the campus, it's hostel life that fascinates me. Our campus is huge. The library building, the Preamble, and, of course, the sports arena where I usually unwind are among the top areas of NALSAR. The mess provides us with food four times a day. There's one canteen which is open till 2 AM at NALSAR.
Faculty: If the Oxford Dictionary has those adjectives that can be added to their names, I would be glad to use all of them. GOATs of teaching, as lectures are hardly repeated. Students' concepts of the subjects are cleared in every single class. I am so glad to be mentored by such faculty members.
Other: Out of all events, the quiz competition, which is called Interrobang, is my favorite. It is my favorite, as I have won it multiple times.

NALSAR is unarguably the best law college in India.
Placements: NALSAR is the best law college in India and, if not the best, probably the second best. Placements are also the best. Starting with internships, NALSAR students get the opportunity to intern at the best law firms in India. Now, coming to placements, average placements this year touch the 20 LPA mark. The highest placement recorded is around 65 LPA. From SAM to Trilegal, all top law firms hire students from NALSAR.
Infrastructure: NALSAR is almost 50 acres of campus. It is like a forest. There's so much greenery and trees all around. The blocks where the classes are are huge. They have classrooms that can accommodate over 100 students. An international-quality moot court and a library never seen before are what the NALSAR campus has built for its students.
Faculty: I have the highest regard for my faculty members. Over my 3 years at NALSAR, all faculty members, including guest faculty members, have made an impact. In fact, they have left an impact as they have shared their research with us. They have pushed us to understand that, as law students, we should start this at the earliest. Before we leave the campus, we should have a minimum of 2 published articles.
Other: NALSAR students get the best opportunities on campus and off campus. Our fests and all are the only time when we get a break from studies. Otherwise, assignments, classes, tests, and all take a lot of toll.

Great colleges and solid educational support for every student. The teachers are true professionals.
Placements: Each year, a minimum of 90% of our college students obtain job placements. The average salary package offered to graduates is 8 LPA. The highest package soared to 22 LPA. Prominent companies recruiting for our programme include TATA Motors, Amazon, Zomato, and Infosys, among others.
Infrastructure: The facilities at my college are outstanding. We have a diverse array of amenities available. There is Wi-Fi, computer labs, a library, a canteen, and more, with the food quality in the canteen being quite good. Furthermore, a variety of sports and games are available, including table tennis, cricket, and football.
Faculty: Educators are both helpful and knowledgeable, delivering effective instruction in the classroom. They are approachable and provide support to students, encouraging them to seek out new experiences. The semester exams at our college present a significant challenge.

My honest review of my college.
Placements: I am pleased to say that in the legal world in India, it is an undisputed fact that NALSAR has the highest placements in the corporate sector and otherwise, even surpassing other contemporaries and rivals like NLSIU, NUJS, NLU-J, NLIU, etc. The job opportunities in a top-tier law school are too diverse and endless. From corporate to government to litigation to academia, the discretion is totally one's own.
Infrastructure: Life in a college hostel is full of pleasure and charm. It is usually located within the premises of the college.
Faculty: Faculty at NALSAR is cutting-edge. NALSAR has been on a hiring spree to bring in both senior and fresh faculty straight from National Law Universities themselves. With a mix of senior professors and young faculty, it provides an ideal teaching environment. Sometimes, a blend of flexibility and new tricks, coupled with experience and time-tested wisdom, is all you need to ensure a wholesome educative experience. The benefits of a college education include career opportunities like better-paying and higher-skilled jobs, but studies have shown that it also leads to overall happiness and stability.

Placements not as promised.
Placements: The claimed placement rate is 100%, but in reality, not everyone gets placed. They ask the students who are not placed to withdraw their applications to show the placements as a complete 100%. The packages of those placed are decent, ranging from 10-16 LPA, which goes up to 20 LPA.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is accessible. There are no labs as such, as you don't need labs in a law college, but there is a moot court hall, which is built well. Classrooms were recently renovated in front of us, making them modern with good technology. Hostels are also decently built.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful and knowledgeable, and they teach very well in a class, usually lasting around 1 hour per lecture. You get to learn a lot while you are in law school, and they also make you industry-ready by teaching all the relevant subjects that will come to use in future practice.

Just focus on your growth and you'll do great.
Placements: Good placement cell that conduct regular workshops in order to give students a chance to interact with associates of top law firms and get in contact with them so that they can secure internships and placements, which is a really smart move. The placements are of course great.
Infrastructure: The library has extensive books and you can issue two books at a time, which has to be renewed every week. You can sit and study at the library and even relax there and watch movies since the internet connection is really good there. The classes are well made too, but the academic block closes after 5 PM.
Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified. The total marks for each course is 100, out of which 25 is the mid-semester, 50 is the end-semester, 20 is the project, and 5 marks are for the viva of the project. In order to pass, you need a score of 50 in each course, which is very easy to get, and you can pass the course very easily.
