Eligible candidates with a valid score in CLAT PG are selected for LLM admission at NLIU Bhopal. Selected candidates must appear for counselling process conducted by the Consortium of National Law Universities [ NLUs]. Applicants with an LLB degree with 50% aggregate are eligible for admission to LLM at NLIU.

National Law Institute University, is ranked 18 by NIRF 2023 ranking amongst other NLUs. The NIRF 2023 was approved by the Ministry of Education (MoE) and launched by the Honourable Minister of Education on June 5 2023. This framework considers a few parameters for ranking various universities and institutions. These parameters cover:

Every year, the cut off marks for the LLM course are affected due to the following factors: 

• The difficulty level of the exam. If the question paper is easy then the CLAT cut offs are expected to go high and vice-versa. 
• Total number of applications received. If the total number of applications received is less, the cut-off is expected to be relaxed. 
• Total candidates qualifying CLAT exam. If the total number of qualifying candidates is less than the total seats then cut off goes low
• Total number of seats. If the total number of seats is revised and increased then cut off is expected to remain low
• Previous year cut offs. For the top NLUs, the cut-off marks in previous years were high, therefore, only topper candidates could make it for final admissions. For other NLUs, the cut off marks are relatively low. 

To come up to this conclusion, whether NLIU Bhopal is a better option to pursue LLM or not, candidates can analyse various parameters such as placements, infrastructure, fees, etc. As per the placement data of NLIU Bhopal, a total of 17 students out of 56 students were placed during NLIU Bhopal LLM placements 2022. The campus of NLIU Bhopal is well-equipped with all basic facilities such as mess, internet, smart classrooms, library, moot courts, placement cell, sports facilities etc.

NLIU Bhopal average package data is not released. According to NLIU Bhopal Brochure 2024, the median package offered during NLIU Bhopal MCLIS placements 2023 stood at INR 9 LPA.

NLIU Bhopal offers admission to the 5-year integrated law courses based on CLAT entrance examination results, followed by counselling rounds. CLAT cutoff 2025 for round 1 is out, where the closing rank for B.Sc. LL.B (Hons)(Cyber Security) and B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) course was 821 and 458, respectively, for students belonging to the General AI category.

 For NLU Jodhpur, which also offers 5-year integrated law courses based on candidates' performance in the CLAT entrance exam, followed by the counselling process. The first round closing rank stood at 357 for the General category candidates.
Therefore, after analysing the cutoff ranks for both institutions, NLU Bhopal is on the easier side for admissions, considering its ranks went up to 821 as compared to NLU Jodhpur’s cutoff rank, which was 357.

The university admits around 120 candidates each year through the Common Law Admission Test UG, for the B.A. LL.B (Hons.) Course and around 60 candidates for the B.Sc. LL.B. (Hons.) [Cyber Security] Course.

The post-graduate courses offered at the university are the Masters of Law (LL.M.) degree and the Master of Cyber Law & Information Security (MCLIS) degree.
