As per NIRF report 2023, out of 82 students, 54 were placed during WBNUJS Kolkata LLM placements 2022. Earlier, out of 42 LLM graduates, 15 were placed during 2021 placements. From 2020 to 2022, an increasing trend was observed in the number of LLM students placed.

Aspirants who have passed LLB/ five-year integrated LLB from a recognised university with an aggregate of 50% are eligible to apply for NUJS LLM course. Aspirants applying for LLM must have the documents proving their eligibility for verification at the time of admission. The selection for LLM is based on CLAT score.

NLU Kolkata LLM programme has a seat intake of 102 students, including all specialisations. Candidates are offered seat in LLM based on their CLAT score. In 2024, CLAT cutoff for NUJS LLM was 620 indicating that aspirants must have a rank between 500-700 for a seat in NUJS LLM.

NLU Kolkata accepts the CLAT entrance exam for admission to its BA LLB (Hons) and BSc LLB (Hons) courses at the UG and LLM course at the PG level. NLU Kolkata CLAT cutoff 2026 for Round 1 was 284 for B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) and 550 for the BSc. LLB. (Hons.) in Criminology and Forensic in the General AI category. 

Similary, for the LLM course, the clat round 1 closing rank was 429.

Yes, NUJS Kolkata has a decent placement rate, with students from almost all the courses getting placement assistance. During the 2022 placement session, 80 students were placed from the (BA LLB/BSc LLB) courses and 15 students were placed from the LLM course. The WB National University of Juridical Sciences does not offer direct admission. Candidates need to qualify the accepted entrance exams for admission. The university considers CLAT score for admission to BA LLB (Hons), BSc LLB (Hons) and LLM courses. NLU Kolkata conducts an entrance test for admission to LLD, MSc and PhD courses. Selected candidates need to participate in the counselling round for admission.

Yes, a candidates is eligible for admission in WBNUJS with 70% in Class 12. The minimum required aggregate for admission to the UG courses at the university is 45% with 5% relaxation for reserved category. Hence, they qualify the eligibility criteria and must appear for the entrance exam accepted by the university, i.e., CLAT.
