In Faculty of Law, Calcutta University, 95 BA LLB and 4,201 PG (2-year) students were placed during 2022 placements. The median package offered to BA LLB and PG (2-year) students during Faculty of Law, University of Calcutta placements 2022 was 7.84 Lacs per annum and 9.20 Lacs per annum, respectively.

After completing LLM from University of Calcutta, Faculty of Law, the candidates can find jobs in both public and private sectors. Faculty of Law, Calcutta offers a LLM course at the PG level. For admission to LLM course, students must have passed LLB or B.A. LLB from a recognised university/ institute. Selection is done on the basis of score obtained in the entrance-test.

No, you cannot take admission at Faculty of law, Calcutta university with CLAT score. This is because CLAT is an entrance test only for admission in National Law Universities in India. The West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSE) conduct entrance test which is WBCHSE entrance test, by which students can take admission at this Institute. Cutoffs will be released by the Institute according to the seats intake and applications. So, to take admissions at this Institute only this entrance test is to be qualified and students cannot use CLAT score to take admissions. 

No, students cannot join Faculty of law, Calcutta university directly without any entrance test for any course. Students need to qualify in the entrance test in order to get the admission. A cut off will be released according to the seats intake and applications. Seat intake for different courses is also different and cut off will also be different. The eligibility criteria for the Faculty of Law at Calcutta University, apart from national-level entrance exams, include the following:
Candidates must have obtained a minimum of 45% marks in the best four subjects at the 10+2 level from a board recognized by the University of Calcutta. For SC/ST/persons with disabilities (disability 40% or more), a minimum of 40% marks in the best four subjects is required, excluding environmental studies of WBCHSE.
