Noida International University BTech Eligibility & Highlights 2025
Noida International University (NIU) BTech is a four-year programme. It is delivered in a full-time mode. The University awards a BTech (Hons) degree on completion of the entire programme to the students with a high CGPA score through all eight semesters. However, the university offers BTech in various specialisations, such as Mechanical Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, etc.
To seek admission, candidates must pass Class 12 from a recognised board with Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Technical Vocational as compulsory subjects and a minimum of 55% aggregate. NIU BTech admission is based on the NSAT score. JEE Main qualified candidates are also preferred for admission. Before applying for the programme, aspirants must meet the Noida International University BTech eligibility criteria.
Additionally, the University also grants lateral entry admission to its BTech programme. In such a case, the course duration reduces to three years. Candidates must possess a diploma degree in Engineering or a three-year BSc degree with a minimum of 50% aggregate to be eligible for the programme.

Yes, NIU acknowledges merit of its students by offering generous scholarships in the form of fee waivers. These scholarships are only applicable to the tuition fees for first year. NIU has a tie-up with Punjab National Bank (PNB) for providing educational loans to its economically weaker students. For availing scholarships, candidates need to fill NSAT application form by paying an application fee of Rs 500+ GST, through debit card/ credit card/ net banking.

The Noida International University Scholarships are provided as two main types. One is merit-based, offering 15% for scores 70-85%, 30% for 86-95%, and 100% for 96% ; which is applicable for the students who are enrolled in the undergraduate and postgraduate courses. IPMAT is usually considered a bit more difficult than SET, as IPMAT exam has advanced mathematics and is calculation intensive. The exam also have a sectional time limit. But, SET is easier in terms of difficulty, does not have negative marking or sectional timings.
