Good faculty and peaceful campus, but limited placement and industry exposure. Best for academics.
Placements: However, placement opportunities for B.A. students are limited as the course is more academically oriented rather than industry-focused. Only around 10-20% of students get placed through college efforts. Internship opportunities are available but not highly structured. The average package ranges between 2 and 3 LPA.
Infrastructure: All of the hostel facilities are good, but still need good changes regarding security, and some of the things do not match in comparison to other hostels. The food is good, but it's all about the adjustments with that food because whatever we receive, we have to eat, but we need to change the food quality.
Faculty: Most of them are well educated with NET/PhD qualification and have strong knowledge. They are very supportive and guide students whenever needed, Semester exam are of moderate difficult. Student who attend class regularly they will pass with around 80% of marks.
Other: The B.A. course at DGC provides a decent academic environment, especially for students aiming for higher studies or government exams. I wish to change or improve our courses in some cases; we need practical assessment mentally, so something is missing in our course.

Decent college suggestion.
Placements: They offer placements to 8-7 percent of students. They offer placements in companies that come in search for air hostesses and some industries. Roles offered in my course are tour operators, travel agents, etc. They sometimes offer roles for entrepreneurs in companies or starting their own business, investors, etc.
Infrastructure: Classes are well-equipped with projectors, AC, and fans. VR is available in the library. We can do an internship in the library too. Wi-Fi is available. Hostel food is decent like anywhere else. The rooms are allocated with 4 students in tight little rooms which is a complaint from students and me personally. They have a dining room, study room, and waiting room. A medical facility is available in the college (sick room) where you'll always find a nurse. Sports are also entertained here like volleyball, basketball, badminton, football, table tennis, and each sport has its respective allocated courts.
Faculty: Teachers are well-equipped, qualified, and knowledgeable as per respected courses. As I'm in BBA they make sure to make students well-equipped with skills and qualities as per the course needs. Semester exams are perfect as per the subjects not too easy not too hard.
Other: I'm currently studying BBA in Hospitality and Tourism Management. I love travelling and want to be your guide someday. That would be the reason for me choosing this course. Alongside having some knowledge of BBA I wish they focused more on the Tourism side which is mostly based towards Business management. They do conduct events, Calibre, Innovision, DJ night, Farewell, and all the stuff. The campus surroundings are decent for students and teachers to function but the problem is in the Dumping Ground near the college. I heard that the dumping ground existed before college so they don't do anything.

B.A. (Hons.) in Political Science - Batch of 2022

Short yet life-changing and thought-provoking experience from 2019 to 2022.
Placements: We were there during the time of the recent coronavirus pandemic, so comparatively, we had fewer students in the college. Justdial company came to recruit. About only 10 classmates went for the internship. Political Science itself did not attract many companies. However, we got to experience our own radio channel, Salesian Radio.
Infrastructure: We got to experience the biggest library in the district, Darjeeling. Even though there was a poor connection, our college provided Wi-Fi facilities. We had a research lab for thesis courses. The canteen had good food available.
Faculty: We had a highly qualified teacher. The quality of teaching was up to the mark, the teachers were hardworking and inspirational, and most teachers were government job aspirants. The relevance of the course was justifiable. Only that the students may not be for industry since it's a Bachelor of Arts. The difficulty for exams was moderate if we committed time, effort, and were responsible. Semester exams were helpful. The pass percentage was 36%. We had about 60 teaching staff.
Other: I chose Political Science since it's analytical as well as timely. International Relations, which was included in our course, was an important tool in today's scenario of world politics. The best things about the course in Political Science were how it prepared students for real-life problems, as well as debates. Political Science, however, needed some improvement in the theoretical part, which made most students not choose it for higher studies. We had an annual sports meet, radio club programmes, Salesian Fest, and National Service Scheme. The Scholarship programme could be enjoyed by students securing more than 70% marks.

It's one of the best colleges in Darjeeling, West Bengal.
Placements: Our college has a very good rate of placements as we get a chance to get placement through our college itself by many companies (not all get). Besides college placement itself, many have achieved great success. Many great personalities, like actor Denny Denzongpa, have passed out from this college.
Infrastructure: About the facilities that our college provides, it has a general library where all the students of all departments can use. It also has its departmental libraries, especially meant for the specific subject, and every department has its own Wi-Fi that students can use.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful, supportive, and encouraging. They will help you in every step you wanna take, even if you want to learn about the topics you left out, they will gladly help you. About the semester's exam, others are hard, and you need to study and focus on your course.

College is very nice.
Placements: Up to 70 percent of students got placed from my course. Mostly students go to university after applying to this college and internship depends on your skills and I love this college. The internship depends on our skills. The top roles offered in our college are mostly unknown to me but I believe they provide decent and good placement.
Infrastructure: The facility is good in my college, the library is the best place, it's big and most of the students are present there studying. The infrastructure in our college is huge and beautiful. The food in the canteen is delicious and great and the medical facilities are all available.
Faculty: The teachers are very friendly and good. They teach us so well that we all love to take extra classes from them whenever we are free. The exams are pretty much tough but the teachers' help and guidance always help us bring good results and the teachers are very educated.
Other: I chose this course because it helps me in my further civil exams the subject which I have chosen that is political science.

The college is great if you can afford it.
Placements: 30 percent of students got placed maybe because the majority of the batch was in my course. I don't remember that but I think package offered is 20 LPA. Recruiting companies are Tata Capital, Reliance Group, and many more. 25 percent of students got internships. I don't know about the roles but they had offered a lot of students to be psychologists.
Infrastructure: They have Wi-Fi access and a big park for walking. The light are well maintained for the night walks. The library is also available at any time of the day. There are also medical facilities available 24/7. There is also a basketball court and a badminton court.
Faculty: The teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. The teaching quality is to the point but it varies with the teachers. The course curriculum is relevant and it makes the student ready. The semester exams are difficult but the study matters to pass. Pass percentage is 33 percent.
Other: I chose this course because of my friends. Timing is flexible for classes. Renovation and expansion of the classroom would improve the course. Innovision and Exsure are great events.
