B.Tech. in Food Technology - Batch of 2029

About my life in my college.
Placements: 75 to 95% of students got placed. The highest package is 15 to 18 LPA and the lowest or average is 5 to 8 LPA. Amul, Cadbury, and other local industries are top recruiters. 90% of students got internships. Top roles offered are Food Production/Processing Engineer, Quality Control/Quality Assurance Officer, Food Safety Officer, R&D/Product Development Executive, Supply Chain/Packaging Technologies, and Production Supervisors in the Food Industry.
Infrastructure: Rooms are available in different sharing options (2 to 8+ sharing), and each student usually gets a bed, study table and chair. Separate hostels for boys and girls with security and wardens. Facilities generally include: Wi-Fi (mostly 24/7 or till late night), electricity and water supply, laundry and cleaning services, medical support, and sports facilities on campus.
Faculty: The programme is taught by highly qualified professors, many holding Ph.D. degrees and industry or research experience. The university mentions having 20+ Ph.D. or Ph.D pursuing faculty members involved in Food Technology education. The course also claims exposure to faculty trained from institutes like IITs, NITs, and IISc, helping provide strong academic and technical knowledge.
Other: I chose this course because I had a very strong interest in knowing about food and understanding what all components are required for a body. I wish we had more equipment and more practical than theory. There are a lot of events. The campus crowd is very vibrant. Connectivity is very good, and there's a lot of excitement over there. It’s like you’re living a dream.

I'm loving my time at Parul University.
Placements: More than 70 percent of my seniors got placed, and my batchmates are also selected for a 1-year internship at Coca-Cola. The top recruiting companies for my course are Coca-Cola, Amul, Britannia, and Kissan. So the highest package offered in our field from Parul University is 6 LPA, and the lowest package offered is 3 LPA in my course. 20 percent of my classmates got a one-year internship at the Coca-Cola company. The top roles offered in my course are food and safety officers, central food, quality manager, quality inspector, storage inspector, etc.
Infrastructure: Our college has the best infrastructure we have ever seen in any university. It has Wi-Fi, a laboratory, classrooms, and the library. Everything is top-notch. I do not live in a hostel, but I do not bring tiffin from my home, so I eat my lunch at the college canteen. I have to say that the food in the canteen is too good. It is reasonable. I also eat my lunch at the mess, and the food is nutritious. They maintain hygiene, and we can afford it.
Faculty: Teachers, faculty members, HOD, and everyone are very helpful and knowledgeable. The teaching quality is really good. The faculty teaches everything related to the curriculum. The pass percentage in my course is 50 percent, which is fair enough. Teachers are really helpful. They always help us whenever we need their help in my current semester. We have been allotted faculty members for our final year projects and other projects. Teachers are helping us at every point and guiding us to make and to reach the completion of our project.
Other: I chose this course out of passion and curiosity towards food and safety.

This college is overall good for students. Surely some faculty members need to improve.
Placements: As I am from the B.Tech food technology course, which has started a few years ago, only one batch has passed out to date, with approximately 23 students, out of which 16 got placed, and other students went for further studies or their own businesses. Many different companies recruited, like McCain's, Nestlé, Coca Cola, Global Gourmet, Saraf Foods, etc.
Infrastructure: If we talk about the classroom, most of the classrooms are equipped with smart boards which increase interest in learning. In my course, labs are equally important and are properly well-equipped with the machines and various equipment required. The whole campus is fully covered with campus Wi-Fi, though we face some problems in the classrooms regarding Wi-Fi, but they are solved if we raise them to the college. The college has very well-maintained hostels with proper food provided in the mess. We also get laundry services and housekeeping staff for clean rooms.
Faculty: We have a well-planned and organized curriculum which is pre-scheduled and shared among the students with proper details. The exams are properly managed with CCTV surveillance and also under the supervision of one or more faculty members. Faculty members are given proper timely training which improves their skills and helps to make learning easier. The exam papers are well designed with the help of AI systems which helps to evaluate the students properly.
Other: I chose this course as I have an interest in innovating various new dishes and also learning new things regarding food, and this college provides me with good facilities that get better day by day with the help of taking reviews from students and faculty members. The campus life and the events are the best about this college. It brings many big celebrities to the college during various events that take place, both educational and non-educational.

A university that gives a very good opportunity to make your career in food technology.
Placements: As per my knowledge, the last batch that passed from my course got 98% of placement record, with an average package of 1.8 LPA in Nestle India, Haldiram, etc. The top roles offered are in QA, QC, and food safety officer in the government sector within the food industry.
Infrastructure: Nice environment with practical knowledge labs and agricultural fields, and students get free high-speed Wi-Fi throughout the college campus. There is also a memorial library that helps students to learn, and a Sevashram multi-specialty hospital that provides 24/7 hospitality services.
Faculty: They have a very nice faculty that improves and motivates you, helping you in every part of your life. After 8 semesters and 4 years of course curriculum, students are industry-ready because of the high level of exam difficulty, which ensures quality students are prepared for careers in food technology.

I am very satisfied with my college.
Placements: In the 2024 placement drive, the university achieved a placement rate of 59.22% for four-year undergraduate programs and 79.76% for two-year postgraduate programs. The highest package offered is 46 LPA and the average package is 4.5 LPA. Over 1,300 recruiters participated in placements, and 2,212 students secured positions in diverse sectors.
Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure for my course are very efficient and effective. The hostel is also very nice. Wi-Fi, labs, classrooms, library, and everything is perfect. The atmosphere of the college is very good. Everyone is very friendly including teachers, etc.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. Their teaching qualities are very good. They all are PhD holders. Semester exams are quite tough. If we are regular in class then there are no issues in passing and scoring good marks.
Other: I chose this course because I am very interested in it.

Absolutely good university with good infrastructure and good placements.
Placements: 98 percent of students are placed from the last batch of Food Technology. An average package of around 5 LPA, top companies like Amul, Britannia, and PepsiCo, proper industrial visits organized, and internships in various food and dairy industries.
Infrastructure: All the facilities are good. Classrooms are clean, Wi-Fi speed is also good, and labs are equipped with all equipment. Hostel facilities are also good, with decent food. The infrastructure is good, all room fans and ACs work properly, and daily cleaning makes the room environment good.
Faculty: Teachers are very good. They are highly qualified and very supportive, and along with teaching, they provide proper career guidance. This course makes us industry-ready and is very relevant in the modern world. Nearly all papers are moderately tough. If someone has attended all lectures and put in effort, then they can pass the exam easily.
Other: I am curious to know how the food industry works and how we can build our own brand. The best thing about my course is that it teaches from the basics and makes you industry-ready. In my opinion, all the subjects and curriculum are good, and there is no major need for improvement.
