Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) is famous for its pioneering role in the Green Revolution in India. PAU is also known for its research in agricultural extension and education. The university has a strong network of extension centers and farm schools that help to disseminate agricultural knowledge to farmers.

SC category candidates who achieve 186th position in the PAU CET examination have possible admission opportunities at Punjab Agricultural University (PAU). During 2020 the admission cutoff for B.Tech in Agricultural Engineering through the SC category reached 1397. 
 The annual adjustment of cutoff ranks depends on both the participating candidate numbers and available seats. Your position among ranking candidates of the previous cutoff group does not ensure your admission. Students should join the counseling process to review other admission possibilities along with their main choice.

The major concerns about the PAU admissions is the seat intake and the fee. Yes, Punjab Agricultural University is a regular college. It has four constituent colleges, including the College of Agriculture, College of Agricultural Engineering and Technology, College of Home Science, and College of Basic Sciences and Humanities. The university offers various regular courses, including MCA, MBA, MJMC, and MSc programs, and admission is based on the score in the Master's Entrance Test (MET) conducted by PAU.

There are five major clubs that are functioning in the PAU Ludhiana which are the University Dance, University Fine Arts and Photography Club, University Speakers’ Forum, Drama and Music Club, Young Writers’ Association, Guru Gobind Singh Study Circle, and others. Students can take part in the various events organised by the clubs.
