PUBDET 2026 Preparation - Presidency University Bachelor Degree Entrance Test is conducted by the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board. The exam will be held for the candidates who wish to get admission in BA or BSc courses at Presidency University. The PUBDET exam dates will be announced in March 2026 alongside the release of the application form.  As per past trends, the PUBDET 2026 exam will tentatively be held in June 2026.

Q:   Can I take PUBDET for multiple subjects? How many at once?
A: 

Yes, you can take PUBDET for multiple subjects. As per exam's notification, maximum number of attempts is 3. For first (or one) paper they apply for, an application fee of INR 500 must be paid. For each extra paper, an extra amount of INR 250 must be paid.  

Q:   Can I apply for more than one subject in PUBDET 2026?
A: 

Yes, you can apply for more than one subject in PUBDET 2026. One can apply upto a maximum of two subjects in one year. But they must pay exam fee for both subjects.

How to Prepare for PUBDET 2026?

Preparation strategy for PUBDET 2026 is straightforward. Refer to points provided below to plan it out efficiently. 

  • Prepare a timetable - Once you have gone through pattern and syllabus of exam, create a timetable considering time left for exam. Make sure that your it covers all topics of syllabus and that you have enough time for revisions. Also, give last few days before exam to practice questions.
  • Get best study material - Google best books for PUBDET preparation. If you are going for a guidebook, make sure that it covers all topics and has plenty of questions and sample papers. Also collect old PUBDET question papers, sample tests and mock exam.
  • Revise - Revision is key to retention. While you're studying, try and make short notes that you can go through at end of day. You can also schedule revisions after completing a certain topic.
  • Solve plenty of questions - best way to familiarise yourself with test is to go through it before exam day. Apart from topic-wise questions, keep solving test papers every now and then. When you sit down to solve a sample paper or an older PUBDET paper, you can time yourself. This way you can work on your speed. And when you evaluate papers that you have solved, you will figure out what are areas that you find difficult. You can work on those areas some more.

If you lose your confirmation page, you can get a duplicate by board. But you have to pay a processing fee of INR 500 by a bank draft in name of “West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board”. You can pay the fees in Kolkata.
