PUBDET rank cards are released by WBJEEB on its official website. Students who have appeared for the entrance test can download their using some easy steps. PUBDET 2026 rank cards download steps are mentioned below:

• Candidate will have to visit the official website of PUBDET 2026 in order to check their rank cards. 
• On visiting the WBJEEB official site, students will have to click on ‘PUBDET 2026 Rank Card’ tab, which will be available on the website.
• On clicking the link, candidate will be directed to a new page, where the aspirant will have to enter their application number, password and date of birth.
• Candidate will then have to click on the sign-in button.
• One can view their respective PUBDET rank cards. Results will be available to individual candidates. It will contain all relevant ranks and total scores.
• All are advised to download their rank cards and take a print-out for counselling process.

Based on candidates' scores in PUBDET 2026 exam, WBJEEB will prepare a merit list. This list will contain all candidates who have qualified for PUBDET 2026 counselling step. The rank shall be in the name and style of ‘GMR’ (General Merit Rank). The ranking will be done in descending order of marks scored in the PUBDET exam 2026.

Separate reserved category merit positions will also be indicated for the respective category of students: SC rank, ST rank, OBC-A rank, OBC-B rank, Pwd rank as applicable. Counselling/allotment of seats/admission will be done based on GMR.

PUBDET 2026 Tie Breaking Methodology

In many cases, two or more students get similar scores. Therefore, WBJEEB has introduced its own tie breaking methodlogy. 

In case of a tie, the candidate obtaining less negative score will have a better rank. If a tie exists thereafter, all such candidates will be awarded the same rank and will be considered for counselling and admission with a bunching effect.

PUBDET Counselling 2026 will be conducted after the results are out. The official conducting body of PUBDET, WBJEEB will publish a detailed notification informing about PUBDET counselling process, fees, documents, and other valuable details. The list of candidates eligible to take part in the PUBDET counselling process will be released separately on WBJEEB’s official website. Only those aspirants who are eligible will be able to take part in the counselling/seat allocation process.
