At PG-level, PRSU offers a two-year MA course across 15 specialisations. These courses are offered on-campus and through PRSU-affiliated colleges. Pandit Ravishankar Shukla University offers UG, PG, Diploma, and doctoral-level courses. Thus, the minimum age limit is 18 and the maximum age limit is 32, approximately. Moreover, PRSU also gives age relaxation to candidates belonging to SC/ST and Other Backward Classes as per the guidelines of the government. It must be noted that the age limit varies from course to course. Candidates also have to provide the relevant documents as age proof for verification purposes.
Currently, the university has concluded its admission for the academic batch 2024. Further, as more than 100 colleges & institutions are affiliated with the university so, the admission dates for each institution can vary. However Pt. Ravi Shankar Shukla University will soon release the admission dates for the 2025 batch of BSc courses. To be eligible to apply for MSc at PRSU, candidates must pass Class 12 and hold a UG degree. They must pass graduation in BSc or any other stream with obtaining minimum 45% aggregate. The minimum eligibility for UG courses is passing Class 12 in major-specific subjects with 45% aggregate (40% for reserved category). The minimum eligibility for PG and PG Diploma courses is having a Bachelor's degree in the same discipline with 45% aggregate (40% for reserved category).
For most UG courses, PRSU allows students to take admission on merit basis without an entrance exam. The university accepts Class 12 scores for the same. However for certain UG courses and all PG courses, the university conducts entrance exams and students must appear for the same. Yes, PRSU University provides separate hostel facilities for girls & boys. Currently, there is one hostel for girls and two hostels for boys namely Gandhi Hostel and Azad Hostel. Additionally, those students who live outside Raipur are eligible for hostel facilities Moreover, according to the official website, if the number of candidates exceeding the available seats then admission is given according to their percentage of marks.
PRSU University is spread across 300.17 acre of land and offers various facilities like Gandhi boys hostel, Azad boys hostel, girls hostel, research hostel, power grid hostel canteen/coffee house, health centre, guest house, central library, university press, auditorium, post office, bank, railway reservation counter, utility centre, gymnasium, powerhouse, transport facility, facility for a person with disabilities, waste management facility, university Science instrumentation centre, residential facility, and others.
