Best college in Odisha to pursue your Masters.

Placements: M.A. in English doesn't provide any placement to the students. It enhances the students efficiency and helps them to get a strong hold on the language. The course curriculum is very well structured for anyone who wants to be a professor in the near future.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is very good. Classrooms have smart boards and Wi-Fi facilities and are well maintained. Hostel infrastructure is also very good. Free Wi-Fi was provided to the students. Food quality is average. Great opportunities were provided to the students who are good at sports.

Faculty: Teachers are very friendly and easy to approach. Their teaching methods are highly efficient, making the subject look easy. Teaching standards are excellent. The course is very relevant, and anyone who wants to dive into the depth of the literary world will find it as the best place to dive.

Other: Since beginning, I was interested in literature, and now it feels like a dream come true while pursuing a master's at Ravenshaw University, the pride of Odisha. A lot of events and several fests were organized in the college in a grand way. The location of the college is the very best.

It was nothing short of a dream. For me, that time period was the best time ever in my life.

Placements: 5-10% of students were placed in our course. The highest package offered in our course is 6.4 Lacs. Top recruiting companies were PwC, Deloitte, etc. No students got internships in this course as it is not among those courses which require internships as of now.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is well-built and classrooms are also well-organized. There is a linguistic lab where meetings are held. The hostel is also well-built and provides Wi-Fi facilities 24*7. Hostel food is also good. For medical facilities, there is a dispensary and for sports and games, there is an indoor hall and playground.

Faculty: Teachers are very helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. Their teaching quality is also good. The semester exams in this college are neither too hard nor too easy; it depends on students' hard work and dedication, which decides how the exams are.

Other: I chose to pursue my M.A. Degree in this institute. Events, fests, campus crowd, etc., are organized by the students of this university itself.

Ravenshaw: The Red Empire : The best college to recommend to the Next generation.

Placements: The college provided placement in Deloitte and Accenture and mostly provided guidance in the academic and research field. Four of my friends got the job. Also now all my friends from Ravenshaw are well-placed in different spheres as lecturers, teachers, government employees, and corporate job holders. Some of my friends too cracked NET AND SSB in the very first attempt. But particularly in my course, there is no such system of campus in any other colleges mostly. But Ravenshaw did provide Corporate jobs to us.

Infrastructure: The university is considered one of the best because of its attractive appearance yet modern services, especially the labs and libraries. The building is quite royal and huge as the British colleges. Hence, Ravenshaw is also called The Red Empire. The hostel boarders are also satisfied with the comfort and facilities. There is a proper channel for libraries where you will find every possible assistance. The food in the canteen is also good and hygienic. Every year there is an Annual Sports event in the college.

Faculty: The faculty is great in Ravenshaw as they are highly qualified and well-acquainted with the modern world. We call our teachers the experts of their genres. And they all are very supportive and encourage us to never pull ourselves back in the competitive spectrum. Apart from studies, vocational and other skills are also given relevance here. A 100% result was in my batch.

Other: Basically, I love English and had the dream to be in this field itself. And the functions, fests, events, competitions are just like the name Ravenshaw: iconic and worthy to be a part of it. In short, the college provides you an all-in-one platform.

This university has cool and friendly campus. The major issue is placements are not so good.

Placements: I did M.A. In English literature, with American literature as my special paper in the batch of 2017-2019. The placement in our course is almost nil. Our department doesn't provide internship facilities. But the special paper syllabus is good for further studies.

Infrastructure: Library has a good collection of books. There is central library, the biggest in Odisha as well as department seminar library. Wi-Fi is only available in central library. Classrooms are quite big and airy but the lights and fans often doesn't work. There is only one doctor in campus, outside there are several hospitals and medicine stores. There are big lawns for games and sports. There is no canteen inside university and the food quality in hostel is moderate.

Faculty: The teachers are quite helpful, qualified and knowledgeable. The teaching quality is good but not excellent. The course curriculum is helpful for further studies. Some students are very hardworking. Almost 20% Of the batch scored overall first division.

Other: I wish there were few more faculty members in our course. And the extracurricular activities were almost missing in our course.

It was a good experience.

Placements: There are no placements in the English department for both undergraduate and postgraduate student. Intern-ship programme is not available in the department of English. There is no placement cell in the English department, which leads to no placements.

Infrastructure: The college environment is good. The entire campus is Wi-Fi enabled. There are separate buildings for departments. There is a central library in the college for all departments, which is equipped with Wi-Fi enabled and air-conditioner. There is a gym and also a medical facility available here. There is a different building for sports.

Faculty: The course curriculum is essential. Teachers in our college are very friendly and helpful. They are highly qualified and knowledgeable. They stick to the old method of teaching that is theoretical. The college doesn't provide any industry exposures. However, the course curriculum was very useful.
